I think this track is one of the ones the record company pulled from the initial album. I’m pretty sure he plays some guitar on this song too, so it could’ve been recorded before his surgery in 2019. The second verse of the song his voice is definitely more recent. The first verse and chorus could be an older take though.
@@anthonygodwin4718I noticed the second verse’s vocals sounding a lot more strained. I wonder if it was incomplete and he came back later to do the second verse or if he just replaced the original second verse. Either way, it’s a very noticeable change.
@@noaveragejoeIn the first verse he sounds very similar to his voice on “it’s another day” the second verse sounds how he does the rest of the album but a little closer to the 3 recorded songs on the lost tapes album from 2020. You might be right the track was unfinished and he came back in to record years later. I’d love to know the real story
Japanese bonus tracks are always better than most of the other tracks on the album.
Deep Waters off Shadowlife’s Japanese release was one of the band’s best songs ever! Don’t know how it ended up as a leftover!
