I LOVE the message of turning the every day chores into a gratitude exercise.. I have been practicing that a lot, every time I get frustrated with how much laundry we have, I think "how blessed are we to be able to afford so many pieces of clothing!", and so on. This video really hit home Amanda. My Grandsons were diagnosed with muscular dystrophy in September, my mother passed away in November, and lost my job in January. Instead of focusing on my troubles I focused on my blessings and the good things in my life. I saw my job loss as a new beginning. I have to say it really works. I am living my life in a more positive way and was able to get a better job than the one I lost. Thank you so much for making a positive difference in my life. ♥️♥️

I really enjoy your make-over series doing up various rooms in your home and painting walls.... choosing colours ect. I also absolutely enjoy seeing videos on sprucing up yiur gardens, pots with new planting ideas and your outdoor areas too. Your voice is so calming to listen to Amanda. 😊 Try putting pepples on top of the soil of your indoor plant pots to keep your cats from using it as a toilet. I've done that with mine and it's helped. 🌱
As I'm watching this video I'm working on night time cleaning. NIght time is my favorite time to clean and do laundry. One thing I try to do when I'm folding laundry is pray over the clothes I'm folding based on who the clothing belongs to. Staying positive is one of my strong points...even in difficult times. It's definitely been routine for awhile now for me to clean up before bed and be the last one to bed. It just gives me peace of mind knowing no one is awake to mess up what I cleaned (Lol) and the house will be "ready" for the next day.
Hi Amanda! I was not watching your videos very regularly lately. My mom passed away in January, 11 days after diagnosis (cancer), it was very unexpected. She passed exactly 6 months and one day later after my dad. Life got hard so quickly. I'm so sorry for you loss, it's truly heartbreaking. Thank you for talking about therapy, it's really important. I know it's very expensive and not everyone can afford it, which is even worse. Anyway, thank you for being you 💗 Your videos always help me the most.

This was so encouraging. sometimes I get the urge to clean at night as I'm restless in bed. I should just try it. well not on a school night or I won't wake up for work.
So my husband is the cook of the family and he would say that he loves a cleaned kitchen I on the other hand enjoys a freshly made bed and feel rejuvenated when I walk into the bedroom after a long day to see the bed made so those are the two areas that are mostly kept.

Definitely a clean bedroom. If my bedroom is super messy, I’m probably not sleeping well. And waking up to a big mess gets my day off wrong. The kitchen is constantly being dirtied and cleaned, easy enough to ignore:)

Of course! That’s why I started my channel years ago because I was coming out of Postpartum depression and it was such a hard & lonely time. I think especially with the world being how it is, so many struggle with things, whether it’s anxiety or depression or a slew of other things… it’s so good to talk about it and not feel bad about asking for help or feeling ashamed ♥️♥️♥️

I totally understand how grief stalls the ability to keep focused. It changes you. I am so glad to hear you say you are trying to focus on the positive good things in your life. I think when you loss someone you instantly are overwhelmed with holding on tight to the people and things that you have. Everyday with them is so precious. Hugs to you Amanda. I have to have a clean bedroom to rest but the kitchen messy drives me nuts. I have to straighten up my home each evening before going to bed. I love starting my day with a neat home. I think you could ask the boys to do the same. Having weekly or daily to do’s would make it easier for everyone. I will do the challenge to think on & look for the positive this week. I wanted to try throwing the pillows on our bed like you do...and I didn't realize my cats both jumped on the bed in the exact moment I threw a pillow on out bed😳 😆 They are both fine...they got the crazies afterwards and were running around the bed jumping on the pillow! I felt bad....but then watching them play made me laugh...and felt very grateful for my 2 girls. They bring me so much joy and laughter with everything! I found my joy in that moment! 😍

So I think of everything positive that can help me achieve my goals. It really does work. I prefer a clean bedroom because that's my space to unwind and be peaceful. I always like the after dark videos. But this one is special. We all need to be reminded of what's important and what we should be intentional with. I'm a sentimental person to the core. We recently went they my kid's old school things. (My kids are are 42 and 40.) It was fun to watch my son's wife as we sifted thru the memories. I'm glad I kept it all. Between the calm voiceover, the mindset chats and the genuine transparency on coping day to day, I found comfort and peace in your video. To touch on mental health awareness month, it's beyond beneficial to have resources for those who need it in some form or the other. Thank you for sharing today's content and the after dark cleaning. I tackle my cleaning early in the morning but there is always a chore in the evening and I find myself winding down funny enough when I clean in the eve. I love to clean, I love a clean home. Its very therapeutic. Maybe that's just me 😊

Did your dad like a certain genre of music? Any favorite movies? Miss all the most important men in my life who are now gone. Love listening to their favorites while I clean or work in the garden. Yes, I shed a tear now and then but mostly I reminisce about all the good times while listening to their music as I work.💝

Today was my daughters last day of 1st grade. Sentimental is so true, especially when it comes to school stuff. She is my oldest so I'm sure will be worse when my 15 month old is that age.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I lost my Mom in 2005 and my Dad in 2015. I completely understand how you are feeling. I know they are in a better place and pain free. Most importantly they are together again. .Red Cardinals have deep meaning for me. When my Dad passed, his neighbor looked out her back door and on my parents gate were a pair of Cardinals. It gave me clarity knowing that Mom was there to greet him. I can remember my Dad coming up behind my Mom while she was at the sink and he would pat her on her “butt cheek”. He always kissed her when he went to work or going out to run errands, he would kiss her when he left and when he came home. I have amazing memories of their love for one another. I hope you will get to the point where though I miss them both, I know life goes on and we have to live our best life. Again, you are in my thoughts and prayers, Amanda.
Chores help build character. They will learn there are things we all have to do in life, like it or not. Prepares all for life.
Totally agree! Our boys have always had daily chores… but during summer, our schedules struggle lol - I think incorporating a chore chart back into our days might be beneficial 🙌🏼

I hang my clothes up or fold them straight out of the dryer. Everything except for load of whites which are typically washclothes, dishtowels and dishcloths. I place those in a basket and fold in living room while watching a TV show.
I made my kids a folder for summer. Things they needed to get done and that way I wasn’t constantly having to ask did you do xyz. That helped us so much in the mornings. I got some ideas off Pinterest but I just made it my own to fit our schedule

You know my motto is always find a positive in a negative for instance when you were talking about finding something in something that you dislike let's say laundry I may not like to do laundry although I love doing laundry but for example if you don't like doing laundry I look at it in a positive way that we all have clean clothes thankful to God that we have clothes when there are people that don't so I always bring a positive into anything that's negative in my life I always search for the positive if we don't search for the positive we're always going to live with a negative and it's a lot easier to find that negative space if we don't find the positive space and then we become what we feel
