In this San Diego golf lesson Porzak Golf helps college golfer Jared with the right rotation of the left pocket going back and right shoulder rotating through to get into the proper golf impact position. This impact drill with the club across the shoulders and the face parallel to the spine, will give you the feedback and feel to get into the golf impact position. Golf impact is the ultimate indicator of how good your swing is. By creating the proper backswing in golf and learning to rotate properly on the way down, you will assure yourself to allow your rotation to square the club and get into a great impact position. Impact drills are great to put into your golf practice routine. Porzak golf includes a lot of impact drills in their lessons so that their students know exactly how to get into the perfect impact position. Really like the visual aspect of this. Am I understanding this correctly that you worked on rotation and impact? So by getting the right shoulder work down and around and through your impact improves. Thx for the upload.
Exactly, we do have a sequence that needs to be done first through setup, take away and backswing. When those get down then we move into transition, impact and rotation properly! Thanks for watching!

Quick question, I love your instruction. Generally you have young incredibly talented players demonstrating. While I am certain everything you say would apply to any golfer of any age, as a 74 yr old player with reasonable (for my age) flexibility and swing speed...I still find it hard to not be too flat and also get the hands out of synch and too far behind. Do you have any recommendations specifically for geezers like me (other than perhaps shortening my swing ) ? Thank you and keep up the great work. I wish you were nearer to me

I know most of the time you see us with our younger more talented players on here but we do work with plenty of players of every level and age! In any given day we could see players from age 7 to age 90 at every level beginner to professional! The number one thing older players need to be sure they do is set up to promote a better turn!
What is the exact move to start the downswing? Pretty sure I have your backswing good. But when I get to the top there just isn’t a positive feeling of how to start down ? Even with where I am now I’m in the 70’s half the time. !! Jack 74
