Based on your commentary, I guarantee you will love it and I look forward to hearing your commentary. So glad you discovered him. If you can, I implore you to watch his Netflix special "Inside" as you need to see all of it in context and realize that a) he started on UA-cam as a 16-year old kid in his room and b) his did EVERYTHING in the special by himself in a room during the pandemic, and 3) he truly is a comedic and musical genius. I want you to know that I do not toss around the word genius carelessly. Loved your reaction--please do more!!!

I know you clearly want to do reaction videos and I like watching people see and hear bo, it’s interesting. But he has more layers than your favorite writers, he is a generational talent. His self awareness and pulse on the world is unbelievable almost and peep his back story, with his level of genius it f’d him up for quite a while

It's not his bedroom exactly. It's the guesthouse behind his house, which is essentially a studio apartment. But yeah, he did it all himself. Please continue down the Bo Burnham rabbit hole! If you want to watch the other songs from Inside, it starts with Content (but this is a short intro song) and then Comedy. The Kanye Rant is also good and would give you a taste of his more traditional stand-up (if you can even call his standup traditional).

He's not the internet. At the midpoint he sings about the time before he arrived on the internet. He is social media. The entity that put itself between us and each other to guide and control how we experience the internet. And he is evil incarnate.
@@Hey_Jamie I think we are saying the same thing. Yes Gen Z was targeted. And its not exactly snake oil salesmen making and designing IPads. Its the corporate interests looking to monetize the internet. When you used to have all these things on the internet that people were doing for themselves like interconnected web pages. Or at most using fairly undirected chat rooms and forums. In order to make money the corporations had to find a way to put themselves in the middle and take control. This is what he signs about when he describes the designs and plans. Gen Z kids were particularly hit by this by growing up in it. I am a cusp Boomer/Gen X so I grew up in the dark ages. Watching things rise from BBSs to IRC and Usenet, to AOL chat rooms, to My Space, to Facebook. It has been a progression of the corporations trying to take something that was a free resource and addicting people to services and in turn controlling how people see the internet. Yes the corporations can be viewed as a snake oil sales man and I encourage that view. Perhaps I am simply driving things to a more specific model of what he is singing. But I believe we are saying much the same thing.

I was feeling this reaction hard until the copyright thing. With so many other reactors out there, editing the actual content hurts it. You should dim the video, or hide the video, but editing all the sound would be like changing the pitch in an Aerosmith song. It REALLY hurt the experience for me. That was enough for me to decide not to subscribe. If I see you suggested on other content I might give it another go, but that copyright dodge wasn't a way to do it imo.
