I'm a simple person. I see Jonny May video. I like.
this is like one of the best piano ever listen .. left hand arpeggios just awesome
Hi Jonny! I really love your work here. I got a little kid whom I show this video to, just before bedtime. It's amazing, first his eyes widens, smile on his face, and then his head nods to the rhythm, and little by little he softly falls to sleep, until he sleeps soundly with a smile still on his face. It's so beautiful, I wish you could see that. My English isn't good enough to describe it.. XD
You have no idea how much it means to me, since my job doesn't allow me to be near my kid very often, thank you for bringing such warmth to a rare evening we got to spend together. God bless you! Please keep doing what you do.
Wow! Thank you Wijarnko. That is very touching and means a lot to me. You sound like a great dad and your kid is lucky to have you. I am honored to have contributed to such a special moment for you and him. Stay in touch and keep the music alive in your heart.
+Jonny May Very humble of you! Btw my kid is very impressed by you. He said, "I think I can do that with a little bit of practice, dad." Lol.. :D
Jonny May do you know Beegie Adair? she so good like you. But she have a classical jazz style. Your sound is like jazz, blues, rock n roll 50,ragtime...your style!!
Bravissimo Maestro.

You've done a stellar job developing that clean, relaxed touch and unrushed feel that so many players like myself struggle with in pieces like this. Wonderful work, as usual.

Is this walking my baby back home?
Nice work! Really nice piano sound. Could you share the piano settings u are using in the cp4? Congratulations again!
Thanks! The settings are pretty standard - EQ is level, I think the piano sample I used is the default grand piano when you turn the keyboard on. Built in reverb is set to a moderate level.
I love the sound of your piano. I can see it is a Yamaha. Please advise which model. Thank you.
One day , just one day I might be able to open the lid 🤪🤪🇬🇧
Sempre músicas
Superb as always!
Can you maybe make a lesson on. Hoy to play this that would be awesome
This style is very similar to my Burlesque Blues course. Check out that course to learn a lot of the techniques I use in this performance.
What model Yamaha keyboard are you using? Any special sound hookups besides the built in speakers? Thanks for a reply.
This is the Yamaha CP4. I'm recording it direct through a UR44 interface.
Can the people that unliked this upload their own versions please .............
First! ily! You're great!

Roufy Nasution shoot me and email at jonnymaypiano@gmail.com and I'll send you one :)
how long does it take you to master a song usually? it sounds really effortless
Depends on the song. Most of my jazzier songs I don't arrange in one session - they sort of morph over the years as I improvise them again and again and again. So this is technically an improvisation, so I mastered it in the moment I suppose.
How about a video for Tea for Two?
what is the name of this sub-genre of blues music?
I would actually consider it a New Orleans kind of feel. Left hand is a blues stride pattern.
Hey Jonny.
I've been playing piano for 5 years now and I want to make it big for me.
Any tips?
Haha there is a long answer to that question and I can't say that I have the one and only answer. But for starters, my advice is to get in the habit of playing in front of people. Record your music and share it openly (a lot of pianists are too critical and never share their work even when it is exceptional). Also, playing gigs is a great way to hone your skill. I played for many restaurants and private parties before I was hired as the Disneyland Pianist and started my UA-cam channel. Lastly, and possibly most importantly, don't give up!
thanks so much
@@JonnyMay great answer!
I speak English yes!!
為什麼你彈的那麼順暢
Hahah the black hat & glasses are all the people money :Ρ
I laugh at people commenting.. "How long does it take to master this?" My wife's an accomplished painter and it pisses her off when people ask her, "How long did it take to paint it?" Mastering a piano or painting a picture...IT TAKES WHAT IT TAKES!
People try to gauge how long and what it takes to be able come up with the product
hah excellent
Please post the notes
