While I'm not a Christian and at best I'd call myself an agnostic, if there is a Heaven, then I feel in my heart of hearts that it sounds just like this are to be heard there.

She described her visions as a divine voice that inspired her to write. *She used music and art to describe, and express these visions. She composed sacred music: polyphony, hymns, and chants. Hildagard believed she was a tool for God, rather than a creator of her own work. She gave credit to God for all her gifts and created music and art that she saw or heard during her visions. Hildegard's music was inspired by her visions and was considered an inspired vision and prophecy. Hildegard's music was unique for its time because she used a wide range of pitches and large leaps between notes. Her work is considered by some scholars to be a forerunner to modern-day opera.

I worked for a large retailer in Australia in the 80's and they sold a product (12 ancient mediation oils) that came with a cd labelled ' the red book of Montserrat" This is when I was first exposed to this ethereal music. Hildegard not a doubt was on this CD . It is the most Spritual music I have ever heard, 40 plus years later
