- Actor Courteney Cox joins TODAY to talk about her spooky new series, “Shining Vale,” in which she plays a woman having a midlife crisis who moves her family from New York City to a haunted mansion in Connecticut. She also talks about her Sunday gatherings with famous friends in LA, including Elton John. She recently made headlines for her comments about being okay with aging and says, “aging is not easy, but at a certain point you just relax into it.”

I’ve always thought Courteney was (and still is) so beautiful. And her personality and demeanor makes her all the more gorgeous.
Hoda's ease during her interviews is just perfection.
This is the first solo interview of hers I’ve seen and I was impressed. She comes across as genuine and can ask hard questions without seeming harsh.
I think she looks great for a 57 year old woman. No one 57 looks like they did when they were 22. I’d love to show me who does.

I am 35 years old. Being thin only looks good when you are young.
When you age and are thin you start to look frail with a gaunt face

I started parting it in the middle and just wear it straight. I'm pretty much totally alone here 90% of the time and I stopped getting highlights or getting stylish or trendy haircuts. Any ideas that you have to improve Courtney's? I'd love to hear about it.

We appreciated her natural looks and no she was not perfect but she was natural. It's an arrogance to try to make yourself look different than you really are, and it just backfired on her

Her hairstyle adds years to her. You'd think with all her money, she'd have a stylist on hand who could lighten her up a bit with a new do. Her current style just seems so dated and heavy, almost goth-like, and not at all flattering. Almost looks like her hair needs a good wash. Maybe she wants to look older? Her facial cosmetic procedures done earlier in her life sure didn't age well, and give her that weird look other commenters are noting.

I'm glad Courtney is happy, in spite of being mysterious to look at. She sure has a beautiful daughter who is at a very challenging age. Not sure what to say about the new show. Time will tell. Someone mentioned Morticia Addams, and that's a problem. At 57, Courtney looks pale and ghostly with that dark, long hair. The fillers are not helping. As an actress, she's in a tough spot. She was a pale, perky brunette when she played Monica, and that's the image that everyone relates to. But it's not a great look for an aging woman, unless you want to look alien like Cher. Being an older brunette in TV and film is not an easy path for a woman. Dark, long hair does not soften an older face.
Perfectly stated. Courtney has admitted to never being one who cared much for styling or having a stylist but she should consider retaining one now.

@@DigitalJill It's very rare when long hair on a woman over 40 offers youthful appeal. Mostly, it ages her further. There is an art premise to this subject, but too difficult to explain here. Certain ethnicities can handle dark hair in older life, because of skin tone. But if the face skin is not near perfect, long dark hair will be aging. Many people, male and female, ignored their grooming during Covid. Not a surprise. But our "beauty" culture did not die with Covid. Many of the "rules" still apply, if you care to be noticed in a positive light.
