I should mention, my definition of “whaling” is topping up just once. So I’d get the $100 bundle once lol. I’d be able to get 1 or 2 more 5 stars with a chance at tighnari again

Personally I think getting closer to c6 yelan by whaling isnt a problem because it enforces a new playstyle for her which could be interesting to watch and build around

People can make the argument that it’s not relatable but I’d rather have more content from the C6 Yelan then have less content but have the series feel more relatable
I'm kinda split tbh I think not whaling gives more of a challenge and might make for less but better content whaling takes away a bit of the challenge but you might have more content I guess it depends what you want

The challenge is just bows only and that's hard enough, I see no reason to force you to not spend money as well, I think you should do whatever you like! And the genesis crystal bonus resets next patch as well so now would be a good time to buy those packs.

Getting a fun experiece is way more important then making the challenge hard. So I don't mind you whaling for C6 Yelan, it unlocks a whole new gameplay style.
It would be boring if you C6 every 5*, but doing it only for special cases like her is fun to watch.
a 5 star selector for the anniversary would be so dope. So many people would play the game bc starting off with a Tighnari or Kaqing is huge
OR an epitomized path thing like on the weapon banner, but for the standard. I’ll honestly be happy with either. Because right now I’m trying to pull Tighnari or Mona, but I could easily c4 my Qiqi.

If there's a good time to whale, it's now, since in a month we'll probably get the top up bonus reset for the anniversary. I say get all the double bonus packs and go all in for c6 Yelan.
If C6 yelan makes your challenge even a little bit easy then I think it's worth the investment and for our enjoyment too😊

I think for specific goals within the challenge "whaling" isnt really an issue. Getting (or trying to get) C6 Yelan is a smaller challenge that personally I think would be fun to watch. It also changes how you play the account and how you can play Yelan. Meaning there's more content you can make from it. I personally think for accounts like bows only a lot of the challenge is early game with a limited roster, and once you reach a point where you can clear over world content consistently finding new interesting ways to play your teams should be the new goal. Having a c6 character on an account like this is rare and interesting! (Also to be 1000% frank. With how useless for you the 4 stars are on the banner and your Tighnari luck, I dont think you'd gain too much BESIDES a better Yelan.)

I've pulled for yelan cons on every banner she's had. Finally got her c5 and c6. Whaled a couple hundred for the last con and one copy of her bow. Idk if it was worth it but it's so fun to insta delete everything
I got yelan as well by spending 20$ , although I only bought $15 crystal top up and welkin.

you dont need yoimoya to be teammate of yelan. c6 yelan is one of the most powerful DPS in the game
Personally, I wouldn't whale when there is a whole ass region to explore and some other ways to farm preemos without spending money. But as far as the challenge goes, I see nothing wrong with recharging for certain characters as long as you really want to! C6-ing every character is what I'd consider against the rules cus that kind of defeats the purpose of the challenge but just one C6 or a couple cons here and there are totally fine imo. C6 Yelan is probably worth it with how busted she is and if you really like her then go for it man!
I think you should do it, like bows only episodes doesn't come out that often, this would be a great content boost. I'm living with bows only love the vids mann. :)
honestly i think pulling on the weapon banner would've been a better choice because it features two bows that have good stats for your characters. even if you lose the 25/75 and get an off banner weapon, you could've had enough for more than one of the two featured bows (since once you lose the 50/50 to get either bow you get a guaranteed).

I took my time a couple of days ago and 100% the current fontaine areas, just 3 world quests left. I'm loving it. (Before you ask, yes, i touched some grass after it, was a bad idea with my hay fever), all of it to get my Lyney, and i managed to grind him out. Enjoying him so far

Not particularly saving for her or anything, and I'm refraining from whaling for her, but when her banner rolls around I pull whatever amount I have at that time. Currently at C3 thanks to a lucky early on the current banner

For this particular account, I feel like without any new characters that use bows, he doesnt have a reason to explore and do the events. Thats why I believe C6 Yelan would be a nice goal to save up for over time.
It still will be a long term goal because even if I whale I won’t get her c6 on this banner.

I would recommend saving the welkin crystals for skins. A skin seems way better value than a ten pull imo.

I honestly don't care about whaling, if it makes it easier for you to play the game with that ruleset, go for it, and even if it doesn't, it's still your account.

It's hilarious how I manage to get tighnari when I didn't want to yet you couldn't when you wanted to. Maybe try pulling for lyney and you'll eventually lose your 50/50 on him? xD
In my opinion spending money on "challenge" accounts is pointless(unless there's a lack of specific characters with the trait you chose) that might be just me but if I know someone is just gonna pay for the character they want it doesn't make it exciting to see when they pull or how they'll overcome some challenges. To me it just makes it 'collecting all the characters with that one specific trait' rather than a challenge I'm going to look forward to, but at the end of the day it's your account, your money and your free will. I'll watch either way

not really that related to the video at all but the new artifact domain might be one that you actually want to farm for. The golden troupe set is one of fischl's ( if not ) best in slot artifact, and the masachusset set ( whatever the hell it's called ) It's lyney's best in slot artifact set aswell, so technically, most of the pieces you'd get out of that domain would be useful
