- Sideling Hill Tunnel is one of three original Pennsylvania Turnpike tunnels abandoned (this one in 1968) after two massive realignment projects.
Historical landmark in Harrisonville, Pennsylvania
Thank you very much for taking us on the trip, it is very interesting.
It was our pleasure! Thanks for going along with us!
Wooo, another awesome adventure 😎 with Pennsylvania's #1 tour guide 😀
Thanks, BBQ Rando! I don't know where I am in the rankings, but I'm pretty sure it is not as high as you suggest.
@@LumberjackPa BTW, that tunnel was an awesome find.
Hey Tom😃That is a neat place😁My wife and I used to go inside a train tunnel in Chatsworth California and sit to the sides as trains go by🤯Thank you for sharing your adventure👍🏻ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
Thanks, MMFZ! I will check that out.
I love abandoned buildings and the history behind them! This had to be very cool in person.
Way better in person! Thanks for watching and commenting!
That is so interesting! It's always weird to see places not used anymore, neat place!
Especially something so huge! Thank you for commenting!
I ran a half marathon through this tunnel last year and I'm headed back in couple weeks to do it again. It's an eerie apocalyptic type of atmosphere. In other words, a very cool explore. Thanks for sharing!
Good luck in your race, and thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching!
Very cool. It didn’t look dark at all on camera. Looks like a nice family trip. Hopefully you got the next day off from work. 👍
Yeah, the camera shows it brighter than our eyes registers it. I did take off the next day, thanks to my boss, Jim. He's a great boss! Thanks for watching!
That looks really neat. I'm not a big fan of graffiti, but I do like how it looks in certain abandoned places and this was one of them.
Nature and man collide, and ultimately, nature is taking over, but help is on the way for this bike trail in the form of grants and etc. Thanks for being a friend of the channel!
Cool...Lumberjack mystery theater !
It was a thrill! I never thought that I would get to see it in person. Thanks for watching!
So glad you got to experience.
Cool stuff. Should have given me a shout. Only live about 30 min away.
Keep on adventuring. 👍🙂🙏
I will take you up on the offer when we go this summer, hopefully with our bikes in tow. Thanks for watching!
@@LumberjackPa lm ready!🙂
Looks like a cool place to explore! I’ll have to check it out!
It would be well worth your time. Thanks for checking it out!
That's an interesting find. Looks like a fantastic tunnel to make an eerie movie. I saw the the tunnel is just over a mile long. Probably wouldn't do it, but maybe????? Long drive to get there. 2 hours and 13 minutes. A three hour drive? I like to research the places you visit. Have a great Spring.
Apparently, it has been in at least one movie due to its post-apocalyptic look. It's about three hours to the exit, and maybe fifteen minutes to the parking lot and about fifteen more minutes to the tunnel on foot. I like that you research the places that we go because we sure don't😀. Thanks for watching!
I was waiting for a walker or some other kind of undead thing to grab one of you. Glad you all made it out safely. I'm planning another western Pa trip this summer and I'm going to put this one on my itinerary
Fortunately, we made it out without any trouble from the undead! I can't wait to see your trip! Thanks for watching and commenting, Ron!
There are two things that I don't like when I'm driving, and those are tunnels and bridges! You never know when something could happen. I even have a friend that has to hold their breath when crossing a bridge. Sure is neat though!!
My Mom is not a tunnel fan either. It was a wonderful experience! Thanks for watching!
This is so cool
I totally agree, Sherry! I am so excited to share it with all of you! Thanks for watching!
Fun stuff, don't go in the tunnel!
Just a little bit can't hurt, can it? Thanks for watching!
