It still amazes me how Ahsoka went from this character that some people found annoying to becoming one of the most beloved characters ever in Star Wars. Loved her since day 1 and Ashley and Rosario have brought her to such extraordinary heights. Awesome reaction as usual. I lost it at seeing the Rebels crew again as well and the music got to me also 😂

Does answer if he survived the Jedi purges though which is good. His knowledge is invaluable since he has the schematics or every lightsaber in existence and how they work. Building a new Jedi order would need that knowledge.

the "star maps" resemble the World Between Worlds. It's a key part of her story and it would make sense for her to be curious about it / prevent others from trying to harness its power
& maybe that is her purpose. She finds a place where she feels she contributes the most. In turn where she also speaks to Rey in the future film. Used to judge things around while maintaining neutrality. She left the order to find a neutral ground. She did not see eye to eye. I love her so much ❤

It was confirmed during the Ahsoka panel that Lars Mikkelsen will be playing Grand Admiral Thrawn. He was on stage with the rest of the cast. They showed an extended trailer to the audience where his face was shown m. So extremely happy.
also huwang is the droid that helps younglings build their lightsabers on ilum, to see him around this far post clone wars, is absolutely god tier, glad to see him back
Guys I know I'm probably one of the old farts in the room. But I literally got chills from this. I still remember going to a convention in 1993 and getting to meet Timothy Zahn and nowadays you wouldn't believe there were only 20 of us in the room to listen to him talk. Dark forest rising had come out not that long before but I believe he had already finished the third book. So to see Thrawn in live action I mean this character predates the prequel movies even. It's like a dream come true it was crazy enough to see him on rebels that floored me back to see live action yeah I'm over the moon.

But one of my greatest fears when they change the continuity is it a lot of Timothy's work would be considered non-canon. Which is true to a point but I love how they've brought in a lot of the characters that he created into the canon. That's very cool. I hope you get a chance to meet him someday I had a couple friends meet him a a few years ago and they said he was as nice as I had told him he was.
Everything from the Expanded Universe, the good stuff, predates the precuels. And Disney has been using it eventhough it was decanonized by themselves. Even the plot of the failed secuel trilogy was taken from Legends, it was just tragically reimagined and incompetently missmanaged.

Like Rae that's a Jana Solo kylo Ren/Ben solo was Jason solo it would've been better if they just followed that from the jump. Look how successful marvel is none of those marvel stories are original they take an existing story and they just tweak it a little bit that's all they had to do with the EU again I'm not mad I accept that they didn't do that and some of the new stuff a lot of that I like some of it right now.
Respect to the OG who've read the Thrawn Trilogy back in the day, that was a big deal. Those books by Timothy Zahn were amazing. That's where you really get to see his character. Wonder if they'll keep that story the same or they've taken his character and changed things up or mixed it with Rebels...etc, will be interesting. She said "Heir to the Empire!!!" The subtitles said "Baylen" for the Darksider Santa-looking guy..... geeking out here. There was a Baylen in Legends, but he was a slicer and computer geek. Can't wait to see Thrawn in live action!! That Inquisitor shown ALMOST looked like the 12th Brother from Rebels... but we believe he died after falling from the Sith Temple... right? The figure did look somewhat feminine, so I think it would be cool to have a showdown with Barris in this series, if indeed she became an Inquisitor. I'm a little on edge that they used the word "Jedi" in the trailer... does that mean Ahsoka comes back "to begin again" as Huyang says? (subtitles said it was Huyang!) So pumped for this show!

A while ago I read an interesting article about this show. Presumably, part of the show will focuses on Ahsoka's journey through "The World between Worlds", and in one of the time-lines Ahsoka will face Anakin on Mustafar (hence Hayden Christensen Cameo), moments before Obi-Wan reaches him. And tries to talk him down. It could be some sort of a "What If" storyline. Idk if it's true or not. But if somehow it turns out to be true, it would be one of the most fascinating stories in the whole franchise. Btw I'm so hyped for this show.

The only way this trailer could've gotten me more hyped was if they'd made Ahsoka's white blade the shooting star over the Disney+ logo the same way the Kenobi trailers did.
It seems the timeline is that it takes place right after return of the jedi but before the end of the last rebels episode. Ahoska is not in white, Sabine does not have short hair and Hera doesn't have her spoiler around.
I wonder if we will get a crossover from the Mandalorian characters in this series? I need to see Ahsoka and Bo meet again and Sabine as well she has to have kept up with what happened to her homeworld after the Purge.

I got serious "Imperial Knight" vibes from the Orange sabers... Their saber hilts look largely the same and they are also both wearing the same getup (like a uniform with standardized equipment). In the EU, the Imperial Knights had white sabers, but I figure they wouldnt wanna step on Asohka's toes, so to speak, so they gave em Orange ones. Also a nice color theme to kind of put them in the middle, not quite light, not quite dark... Could be totally off base, but we shall see eh?
A few points of interest: We see a clear inspiration and homage to the original book series by Timothy Zahn, the so-called Thrawn trilogy from legends. In the trailer, Ahsoka even says the name of the first book, Heir of the Empire. Orange lightsabers are unprofessionally homemade, unstable, similar to Kylo Ren's. This is a reference to the Dark Forces Jedi Knight game series, where the dark Jedi cult had such swords. From this series, we could already see Dark Troopers used in The Mandalorian. Filoni is a big fan of Legends and uses the best of them in the canon. Dark Jedi - not inquisitors, there are speculations in the trailer that it will be Jorus C'Baoth and Mara Jade. We see Ezra for the first time on the hologram. Hera is the wife of Ewan McGregor :)

That looks really good and I don't even have Disney Plus or watch other Star Wars shows but that looks better than a lot of their other shows.
