Lake Towada & Oirase Gorge Japan
Lake Towada, this gorgeous remote lake is a highlight for me on our travel to North Japan because of the surrounding nature. It invites the traveler to wander along the lake and the Oirase gorge. 800 years ago only wilderness surrounded this lake and the occasional visit of Japanese ascetic hermits. During the annual autumn color lots of tourists visiting Lake Towada and Oirase Gorge.

I am planning to visit next week, are there any restaurants in towada, I heard there is only one and no convenience stores and which hotel is good to stay.

I have not seen a convenience store but there is a small grocery store. We stayed at the Prince Hotel and ate at the Prince Hotel restaurant and loved it but the price in the restaurant was higher than usual. I saw a few small restaurants on the way.
