@@AbstractOddity golds probably have it the worst atm in Overwatch. Flooded with streamers smurfing for content because they think its funny. Hackers abound and with lack of co-ordination sometimes unstoppable, and a community that dumps on them for being average.
I am just interested how bad Overwatch 2 might end up if this attitude and trend continues.
@@Keldiur to be fair samito and most other streamers aren’t “smurfing for content” it’s unranked to gm, which believe it or not, is actually more helpful to low ranked players than it is detrimental.
Think about it, he might give a loss of 6 ppl per lobby he’s in (assuming he has a 100% winrate) but the game gives u quite a large amount of SR when smurfing so you rank out of the low ranks fast. So he doesn’t end up giving losses to that many players, while educating hundreds maybe even thousands of players at that rank who can use the educational video in the future.
@@Keldiur As a gold player, I have yet to run into any hackers or hardcore smurfs. Some smurf here in there, but I have more problems with getting silver tanks and dps on my team than I have with good players on the enemy team.

Annoys me how some people in his chat are saying he isn't cheating. I personally hate when high-level players accuse every other person of cheating, but this was just too evident. Plus the way Samito approached the situation was 10x better than any I've ever seen.
Great vid man really enjoyed watching, just wanted to point out that if we’re being real, even if that widow wasn’t hacking you still came close to losing just from the shear lack of incompetence your team had. And from this I want to point out that elo hell is 100% a thing, no matter how much you go out of your way and carry a team you still won’t come out with the win if your teams just plain and simple worse than the opponents.
It's gold.. Both teams have a lack of competence to some degree. But they came close to losing because a third of the enemy team was cheating lol.

No disrespect or anything but its kinda like when wealthy people say "I'm struggling" to a homeless person, the reason cheating is so bad in the lower ranks is because they usually solo queue and their opponents aren't as experienced so they just think they're smurfs
This is enlightening. I played over 1000h of Overwatch and not a single time I could say oh there is a cheater in my game. I just reached plat and all I can say is the player is a smurf or just lucky because I somewhat « believe » in blizzard anti cheat system even tho nothing really backs their strength against cheats.. weird man, hope it’s not filled with hackers like csgo but I just don’t realize it man.. i literally quit cs because of hackers because it’s not fair and I was losing my time
@@dashontelamarcus1814 yeah man I got well over 1.5K hrs on csgo and both a combo of hackers and just lack of interest to players is why I stopped, I was never particularly good at games aim wise but I like to think my game sense was on point thanks to csgo and overwatch is very much the same. It can be hard to admit when someone is better than I am but sometimes something just seems off at a lot of cheaters who are conscious of their own plays will often think "oh shoot, that was a bit suss they may think I'm cheating" and then dial it back and they never have another suss moment again, I remember countless games on csgo where we would be playing against countless cheaters who were lobbied with other players and so whenever we tried to kick them to make it fair their team mate would always vote no. That was until of course they started VAC banning those who were directly associated or lobbied with that reported and banned cheater

Imagine playing one of the lowest skill hero in the game but still being do bad that you have to get boosted by smurfs and some times hackers (I have encountered some in silver and gold it's sad af). When you have a Widow being deep pocketed by a mercy in gold, the Widow is smurfing and boosting the Mercy. It's almost a guarantee.

As a gold healer, I usually prefer to nano a rein right before he does a nice shatter or I use it to keep a tank alive if need be.
Like the only time I give it to a DPS is when they're like a soldier or Genji and even then, I'm iffy because I don't really trust them lol

Its not a rare thing, a cheating/smurfing duo with a mercy is really common in low ranks and that mercy defending him "he is not cheating, chill", the way she was playing, she didn't even belong in gold. Probably bought a boosting service or that's her boyfriend boosting her.

The reason you can tell it’s not just a smurf is because
1. his aim and pre aim was insane but his movement was awful (literally walking into full nade spams, not strafing, not turning around when his mercy is getting killed 5 ft away).
2. He had multiple kills on Sam that he had his crosshair at head level where Sam peeked before Sam was even visible. You can see in some killcams that he premoved his crosshair 1-2 seconds before Sam peeked, so he wasn’t just hard watching common peeks and angles.
