A Day in the Life of a 17-Year-Old Level 10 Gymnast

- Mila Brusch spends four hours a day training as a Level 10 gymnast. It’s a notch below an elite gymnast, which is what Simone Biles and other athletes are in order to compete at the Olympics. Mila was about 13 years old when she started taking gymnastics more seriously. “I had won the state meet, the regional meets, and I had qualified to nationals and won events there, so that's when I realized that I think I could make it to the college level,” Mila told Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps.
Love her attitude. If anyone deserves a scholarship it is her someone who spends that many hours a day practicing then trains others. Her parents have had to spend a ton of money for gymnastics lessons, trips etc.
Her biggest strenght is not her power, it's her discipline
This is one of the first gymnastic videos I have seen where I feel like there is a healthy balance between the sport and other activities in her life. Where she realises she should be able to be happy with her life and accomplishments after her career ends as well
She seems like an amazingly talented and rooted young woman. All the best to her and her family and in every endeavor.
The parents have done an exceptional job with her. She's amazing... talented, respectful, mannerable, courteous, intelligent, and she's beautiful. One couldn't ask for a better child. 👏🕊️
God bless her, and her family 🌹🙏
Omg! She walked into the kitchen while her mother was cooking and asked how she could help....I am blown away. I wish my daughter would ask me that.
They make better wives with obedience and kindness, educate her, you're the mother don't leave her in life with the princess syndrome and especially don't send her to school If you want her to be happy for the rest of her life and have grand children for yourself
@@wp869 my daughter is the typical 13 year old preteen with a good heart but she is not as thoughtful. I'm not raising her to be a doormat for anyone however I can work with her on giving a helping hand and to be more aware and considerate. The parents seem to have a great balanced relationship. I don't think her mother walks 12 steps behind her husband however I do believe it to be a relationship that is balanced and reciprocal. Mother looks like a very strong Individual even within her marriage. Thanks for your input.
@@wp869 Sorry not sorry but, your comment sounds like something a womanizer or a cult leader would say. You have 0 input on how this young lady parents should raise her. And for you to say that she shouldn't attend school but start rearing kids for her parents is, idiotic if not the psychopathic behavior! If you're married with children, I'm praying that your wife doesn't entertain any of your unusual thoughts of raising children!
Mom: makes joke*

Truly an Inspirational young lady. 4 hours every day? That is dedication. What a blessing. 🏅
It's good to see this sweet girl get to do what she loves without persecution. May God bless her and keep her safe!
She is my hero !! I’m 45 and I look up to this angel. I always wanted to be a gymnast. I would train 4-6 hours a day. We moved from Dallas,Tx to crossville,Tn yea I know where is that? It’s a hole in the wall with nothing. We didn’t have any type of gymnastics. The cheerleaders were good if they could do a cartwheel and splits. I done flips round offs and it blew the coaches away to the point they thought I would stand out over everybody and the coaches daughter was on the squad so let’s just say I didn’t make it yea I know. I heard it through the grapevine well my mother did she had a friend that was a teacher there. Anyways closest place I could go was 75 miles one way and my mom couldn’t do that so I had to get out of it. This was 1990 as well a lot different then.I’m so happy for this young lady. To be able to live her dream and she is really good at it too! Oh never give up honey do it for all of us that couldn’t and I’ll live my dream through you!! I wish you her all the best I hope she beats them all!!
Dad was so over that interview.
Dad was acting like a jealous jerk. He needed to show support for his daughter because it was about her and not him.
@@MsTemptation he did seem a little stressed
@@MsTemptation Don't judge. You don't know him.
He probably don't need her to get all the attention, or he probably feels like it's too early for all that attention who knows or this is how he is probably 24/7 it calm person
He probably didn't want to really talk. He has a heavy Caribbean accent.
this is so encouraging. just showed this to my little 8 yo gymnast :) she loves it and hopefully one day she exceeds like this beautiful young lady!!
I truly wish her the best
I don’t think the dad was feeling the interview was so ready to ball out
I noticed that, too
Man always man, the interview is too early and unnecessary that's the way the father feel.
Very Impressive !!!! ♥️🤸🏻🤸🏻🤸🏻🤸🏻🤸🏻🤸🏻🤸🏻Go
Mila! My daughter, Allison as a gymnast trailing behind you! Thanks for paving the way!
Her dad was NOT having it! You could tell he did not want them in his house and didn’t want any part in this but did it because his wife and daughter probably begged him😂😂😂
Hopefully he'll come to his senses and learn a bit about his daughters life and journey.
😂😂😂
Amazing! She’s a powerhouse! I can’t wait to see Mila in the Olympics!!💞
ETA: I love that she seems to have balance in her life and is aware of her mental health! Shoutout to her, her parents, and her village 🙏🏾
She’s not an elite so she’s not training for the Olympics.
@@emmaspacelee what’s the point of doing so much training if she’s not training to get to the Olympics someday?
Beautiful family. People don't realize how unbelievably strong, persistent and dedicated one must be to be a successful gymnast. This young woman's success is a huge testament to how well she's been raised by her parents, the support they give her, the values they've instilled in her, and her own personal character. Look for her in the future. She'll be someone amazing.
Can't wait to see her in the next Summer Olympics
IMPRESSIVE young lady! 👌 Beauty, brains and talent! 😁💪😍💖
*These should be some VERY proud parents!!* She's super sweet, dedicated, beautiful, inspirational, strong, down-to-earth and beyond talented 💜 She has a great future ahead of her 💜
She's so pretty and incredible at gymnastics
i love how she doesn't deny that she's a star
Glad to see she gets a scholarship. Keep up the good work
She’s BEAUTIFUL & I am so proud of her!!!!!!!! ❤️
Go girl! All the best at university and I can't wait to see you at the Olympics one day 💕
What an awesome young lady!!
I wish her the absolute best in her future!
Finding out what is different about you & cultivating THAT is where it's at!
Being so called "normal" and "fitting in" needs to be changed.
Be different & stand out!!
So happy for you!! Way to go!
Awesome! Good job working so hard!
This girl is going to go on to do some amazing things ☺️☺️💜
she’s great at gymnastics and also very well spoken.
Ok
lol. who said she wasn't well spoken? Were you expecting the contrary?
@@jasonMB999 it was just something i noticed when watching the video
@@jasonMB999 You mean like (former prince) Harry who tells a black person when he doesn't think they sound black that they "don't sound black" (as he did w/comedian Stephen Amos)? Oops who should be talking about making racist remarks Harry?!
I hope one day, Mila gets to do gymnastics in the Olympics.
Same
Lol. Why?
@@jasonMB999 because she she’s good what do you mean by why
I hope she doesn't follow in Biles footsteps...she chokes and quits her team to go on to compete for herself because it's all about HER and HER well-being!
@@isabellind1292 um ok?
this young lady is also a great role model 👍👍👍
I love watching gymnastics
special girl! She has all the special ingredients in life to be success ! Talent alone will not give you success, she possesses discipline , teachable spirit, humility , passion, intelligence , and a very likable personality!
Father seems unimpressed
she’s defiantly going to the olympics in 4 or 5 years.
she’s not elite she’s college she has a scholarship
@@faloneemily5946 Yeah. Which doesn't mean she is bad. She is very good. But if you don't do gymnastics or competitive gymnastics it's very to hard to tell how good a top tier gymnast is.
Yeah! Whether they let her or not!
Impossible she’s still at level 10 at 17
I can wait to come see u compete in Denver in the future
Omg she’s stunning
God bless this young woman
Wow I hope I watch her all the way to the TOP
Anyone notice the dad looked disgruntled as hell. Lol.
Yes I was looking for this comment 😬
this made me laugh! He may look uninterested but I promise he is super supportive of me and my gymnastics. He also loves watching college gymnastics on TV and comes to my competitions!
@@milabrusch3237 Lol! i thought he was a little uninterested at first
@@milabrusch3237 he looked nervous to me more than anything. Too many comments making it seem like he doesn't care. He has the same facial impressions and mannerisms of my own dad. Super supportive but noone could tell looking at him.
Cause he can't travel.
My sisters a level 10, 13 year old gymnast. And she does 5 hours a day- seven days a week!
Ok
Same
Damn that’s crazy sending good vibes for her future 🔥
Sure
her dad was being kind of a jerk, he wasn’t even talking, let alone saying how proud he was that his daughter is so special
You’re obviously not adept at observing human behavior. He didn’t make eye contact, for much of the time he was on camera, which was less than 2 minutes. This means he wasn’t comfortable and probably extremely nervous. It’s also likely he’s introverted. Not everyone displays their emotions in the same manner. He’s wearing a Denver University T-shirt, which is his sign of approval of her decision to attend that University. It may well be his alma mater; thereby, making it that much more meaningful. The family has made many sacrifices, (by their own admission) for their child, which means he believes in her ability to excel.
Amazing
She's a wonder machine, big ups!
You just keep keeping on God bless you
Awesome young lady! I’m sure we’ll be seeing her compete in the future Olympic Games!! 💜💜💜
Good job!!!
The mom laughing like😁 the dad😒
Wow amazing. I can't wait to see her win in the Olympics.
I love this
She's an impressive young lady.....
She looks a few years younger than that which is unusual in this day and age where kids tend to look older than their age
She can pass for 14
What you have to keep in mind is that most other kids her age would wear makeup wich makes them look older
Go pios! DU has an amazing gymnastics program!
Hope to see her in the olympics very soon
I wish I still did gymnastics I miss it so much
Her mom seems really aeeet and she seems grounded. Hope she makes it to the Olympics !!
She’s not on an Olympic track with her gymnastics. Gymnasts have to qualify for elite which is a step above a level 10.
Im level 7 i train four hours a day too. I wanna be a level 10 too!
How do you deal with all the fear/stress?
Hi Lilly! With fear, take a step back and work on the basics! I gain a lot of confidence doing this! When you feel ready try the big stuff again! You can do this, I believe in you :)
I’m just happy we live in the same state
What a sweetheart!!!
Waoooo she has a amazing gymnastics right 👍
Love it
Wonder how she handles school, tutor or regular attendance?
regular attendance! Some days I have study halls at the end of the day so I leave school early so I can get to the gym on time!
I would like to see a day in her life with school included.

Blessed
Good parents, they've done a great job with their daughter and kept her focussed and grounded. Mila is a wonderful, strong, intelligent and a very determined young lady. She's amazing at gymnastics, she appreciates she's been blessed getting a scholarship so if she keeps up the hard work and continues to aim high, she's going to be a USA champ'.
The next superstar
Omg her dad 😂

She will go to the Olympics, good on her.
She must be Aria Brush’s sister bc they look similar !!! Aria is a collegiate gymnast for Auburn so if they r related then wow!! Wow either way but talent like this from the same gene pool is awesome!! Go girl and looks like she’s going to Denver not Auburn but ok!!
Yes, Aria is my sister!
Wow ! Look at that. Systematic racism didn’t hold her back 😆
She is beautiful!!!!

surprisingly she live in the state im in 🤔🤷
She has the same name Mila or Milad
They destroy their bodies all the injuries - hope they take care of their mental health as well
Agreed, I feel the culture of the sport does not emphasize injury prevention and/or strength training enough.
