I review the SportDOG Tek 1.5L GPS Hunting collar for dogs. This is a collar that is for off grid use and does not need cell service. It boasts a 7 mile line of sight tracking, is water and dirt proof and you can track up to 12 dogs.

Anyone know why is it 7 miles line of sight? If it is GPS then surely it just needs to see the sky?

Excellent video Jen. I have a Fieldtrainer 350 E collar from SportDog and I've had the collar for 6yrs. Excellent collar both units waterproof and customer service satisfaction is 100%. You don't have wait an hour like so cellular companies. Under 30sec and I was talking to a very friendly and helpful person. I think you should phone the customer service number of the product you are looking to purchase as it speaks volumes to the product. Thanks again 👍👍

I'm looking to get this model to hunt grouse with my dog up north, (Maine, U.P Michigan, and Minnesota). I don't think I need it for pheasant hunting and places that are more open ground and where I can see my dog. I hunted my last dog for 12 years without one because he hunted fairly close and I could always hear his beeper. Great review.
