I'm restarting my Dubia Roach colony because we've recently been having a spider infestation. No idea where these pests came from, but they've been breeding prolifically and have pretty much conquered the entire bin. Also, LOBSTER ROACHES!!! Why? How? idk.

When You're Not Looking - Nathan Moore
You know I stopped questioning how things make their way to your roach bin long ago
Yes me aswell did he ever find his centipede,,?
yea me too
Apparently the orb weaver bite is comparable to a bee sting so yes they are venomous
I don't find this particular spider shown anywhere on the web as an "orb weaver". King Pissy should list the species since he didn't bother to mention it in the video. saying "orb weaver" is like saying "tarantula"...
Bees aint poisonous
@transformasikhatulistiwa3750 you're right! You can eat them if you felt like it but they do have a venomous sting... but it's only dangerous if you are allergic to them.
Poisonous and venomous are different things 😉
The poison auf a orb weaver isnt so deadly. Its of course important to know what Kind of orb weaver it is but normally they are not all poisones
u dont rlly need to say the spider is venomous since all spiders r venomous.. just their potency differs
The spiders look more closer to a member of the widow or false-widow family with they're glossy abdomen and round, bulbous shape.
It would also make sense if the roaches are kept in the dark, as these spiders are typically nocturnal and like dark spaces.
They are quite prolific breeders which is why they pretty much an invasive species in many countries and why there could be so many in a short period of time.
How they got into the box, I can only speculate that a young spider managed to sneak into the box somehow
That was one of my guess but it could just be a red house spider super common I did wanna agree with orb weaver I’ve just never really seen them that small or with out the spots
@@TwoFaceAce925 You are probably spot on with the red house spider guess, they're clearly theridiid, and aren't steatoda or latrodectus. Definitely not orb weavers.
Still the best spider ytber idc bruh been watching him for years and his voice is memorizing and the way he cares for his collection of specimens is with true love I know some people who don’t even feed there specimens but once a month also I forgot but orb weavers do have venom but not enough 2 truly hurt a human unless you are allergic
ive watched him since i was like 6 maybe and im 11 now
I’ve watched him for years too. He was part of my childhood ngl.
@@rose-t2l6zsame
Memorizing? Mesmerizing*
Ask him out on a date
@@qlasalle cry about it
its harder to remove the spiders, those spiderlings are sooo tiny...
true also they bite unlike those roaches that arent quick enough
Those orb weaver spiders were probably thinking they hit the jackpot in food!
They aren't orb weavers
@@carlosthejediwhat are they?
@@kingzroyalzz7059 red house spiders
And now theyre going to starve… eventually
@@kingzroyalzz7059likely red house spiders, theyre in the same family as widows but not nearly as deadly
the two species i have in mind about the orb weavers are the white widow and the redhouse spider. the redhouse spider is known to build its nests in those colonies of tarantula keepers
Everyone: figuring out what type of spider that is.
Me: he's touching the roaches with his bare hands... WITH HIS BARE HANDS!!!! How am I not used to seeing him do this every time?! He shows us all the time!!!
The spiders are red house spiders.
Dubia roaches are clean, and hes been doing this for years. Also how tf do you find that gross i always touch roaches with my bare hands thats normal xd
@StaticDaSticc I know he's been doing this for years, it's just every time I think of cockroaches I think of the dirty scary kinds. I know there are different breeds it's just cockroaches and they are disgusting to me
I could never 😭
At first I thought the spiders were Latrodectus pallidus, but those invaders look far more shiny than the ones I'm seeing. Crazy.
Seems closest match to me is L. Pallidus.
They so fat the abdomen looks shiny
it looks very close but Pallidus has very distinguish black dots on it's abdomen, spiders in the video, I've noticed, have grey cross on front of the abdomen and not a single dot. 4:26 / 5:20 - 5:25 / 5:53 / 9:07 (one has a black dot on the right side but I think it's just dirt or something)
I'm not an expert just an observation
That's a red house spider
@yohannplayzph73 Nesticodes! Learn sth new. Previously the only house spider I know was Steatoda. ^^
He's super good at providing information
Those spiders hit the jackpot! 😆
The animals really said"let's make a community"
I would totally leave the old container as is and see what happens.
For science
Decided to check in on the channel after a year of not watching, and i see the tarantula man is being invaded by other species of spiders. Aces XD
Aren't you afraid that baby spiders would be hidden on some of the roaches you took out?
Wouldn't the baby spiders die of starvation, since there wont be any smaller roaches for them to feed on yet in the new colony?
@@qwertuiop3005 a month without food and a week without a water, considering at least 1 roach had an egg sack, which is pointed in the video, there is a chance they might survive long enough
Those spiders remind me of my pet brown widow. I caught it as a sling and it turned out to be a brown widow. I had no idea until it got bigger.
I just started my dubia colony and I did tons of research beforehand. Im learning so much ❤ i have not gotten the courage to handle them yet
Those orb weavers remind me of false widows.
Because they are combfoot spiders, not orb weavers
@@carlosthejedino they’re red house spiders
@@RookieAssassin exactly, red house spiders are a type of combfoot spider.
The way he slams the roaches into the new bin is hot
I would double check the new bin for baby spiders. Them suckers are tiny.
Gooty sapphire tarantulas are just beautiful
Man, time for a rehouse.
A believe they could most likely be larinioides cornutus (Furrow Orb Spider), or White Cobweb-Weaver Spiders but they're a more yellow color so I think it's the first one
I love your pumpkin spider.
Normal people: dogs cats and birds for pets
This UA-camr: has cockroaches as pets 🤣
And no I’m not hating I’m just saying that pretty much no one I know has the guts to do this 😅
He breeds thwm to feed ro his turantulers so more like farming roaches rather than oet roaches
my speach after 1000 roaches crawl on me ...
lolol the roaches: " '' What da hey, human?!! Why are you moving us..? Ohhh this has more space? Intriguing! ' '' lololololol
I couldnt imagine the smell
Those spiders have been at the buffet. They’re so fat!
I have the same problem and at one point I let them have their share of my cockroach colony. I gave up because I don’t have the heart to kill the spiders 😅
Those spiders in SA we call knopiespinnekop. Which direct translation is buttonspiders. But its pretty much a widow spider.
With the smaller ones my suggestion to have a big empty container and the egg carton one by one tapping in the container then separate the little ones before putting another one in therefore it might take long but you'll get every single one out easily and at the same time getting rid of the pest
the spiders he seems concerned about seem very perplexed what the heck is going on, ROFL!!!
The only Orb Weever to worry about getting bit by is the Golden Orb Weever. Those get quite large.
Exotic lair if you ever start a gaming channel you should play Grounded
Those spiders sre everywhere now days even in my house their s common bread of spider that feast on roaches
at 2:58 you can see some younger spiders (or male idk) blending into the egg cartons too.
You are gonna need a new type of lid for that bin otherwise you will have another infestation.
BTW those are not Orb-weavers, way too small to be one. Most likely those are comb-foot spiders.
Looks like a cobweb spider. Red house spider (Nesticodes rufipes) perhaps? Unfamiliar with your location to narrow down more.
Red house spider, also known as the cobweb spider more scientifically known as nesticodes rufipes
thanks for infesting my neighborhood. gfy
Any theories as to how the lobster roaches found their way into your Dubia colony?
Brown Widow Spider Identification & Behavior - Ja-Roy Pest Control - Pest Control & Extermination Services. the spidwrs are a brown widow spider
Hmmm I don't think so as the patterning doesn't seem to match.
I had several mites in my grammostola pulchra cliche. Luckilly i saw this on time and get red of it 😬
Those spiders might be a Shamrock Orb Weaver Spider.
It's a red house spider
My Mexican red tarantula molted today🎉🎉🎉
Omggggg I see so many of my family members in that bin
Hahaha same , as well as many people I know in general 😂😂😂
Looks like the orb weavers are Araniella. Venomous but harmless unless you’re a small insect, which is definitely where your roaches went they look very well fed.
I wonder how the spiders managed to get in though I'm betting the males are looking at having a good time.
That spider was either a orb weaver or red house spider
Looks like a false widow
Spider: Nesticodes rufipes According to reverse image search.
I agree they look alot more like the Red house spider (Nesticodes rufipes)
Id have worn gloves or used tongs. You are NOT catching me bare handed in a box with spiders like them. I can do tarantulas, wolf spiders and jumpers. Anything else must be squashed. Every time your hand goes back in I shiver 😖
Why though? The tarantulas are more dangerous than orb weavers, and most tarantulas aren't dangerous at all.. Also orbweavers look pretty cool....
@@lololollololol629 They way they are designed, move and general appearance disgusts me. And I've never had issues with tarantulas, owned a few myself. Its proportions for me.
@@queendracodharriott I think all spiders are pretty cool, tarantulas and orb weavers are some of my favorites though lol.. I even find the very few dangerous spiders cool but I won't go near them for obvious reasons.. The only arachnids I don't like are ticks which I kill on site them things are horrible, and mites...
For sure, on ticks and mites, those have got to go. And I suppose the rest are neat, but I'm still not touching them :].
It's to early to tell which kind of orb-weaver they are
those spiders look like theyll explods like little snowglobes
thats a White cobweb-weaver spider they are not venomous but could hurt like a bee sting so dont get bit by one
Hey exotic would you consider getting a funnel web spider
Oh gawd
Don't you have a turkestan roach bin too?
Should probably check ur second roach bin.
The spiders are not orb weavers, those are red house spiders.
nah they are not becos they dont have brown abdomens, these ones have white plump round abdomens
@@realmaybecurry not what?
I saw ALOT of baby spiders. Are you sure some of them won't sit on some of the roaches, or you accidentally pick up some while you take the roaches to the new bin?
Lobster roaches don't do nothing to dubia roaches the spider call with wido
I thiiiink those spiders are Metazygia zilloides based on their size, the transparent red legs, and round white abdomen but you'd need to get a really good look to tell for sure. You should be in their native range too. it likely doesn't have fangs long or strong enough to pierce your skin if it did try to bite you assuming im correct about the species.
these aren't orb weavers, but comb footed spiders in the family theridiidae if i'm not mistaken
Doesn’t want to get bit by the spiders, continues to stick his bare hands in the crate 🤦🏾♂️
If those baby spieder are very tiny how do u know that none of those tiny spieder are on one of those roaches you are transporting too the other crate because you are just picking them up an putting in the othar container and only looking at some of them😂😂😂
Orb weaver spiders r venomous but its pretty harmless for humans.
The orb weaver species are called
- Araneus thaddeus
bro, how are you just handling the roaches , but scared of house roach? I mean turk roaches looks like a normal house roach right? for me, I'm hella scared of roaches if it's a roach I'm out lol. That's why I have never given my Ts any roach since I started keeping. I wanna try, but I'm terrified to even go near any roach.
You know tarantulas are nocturnal hunters at night and they will eat tiny spiders and tarantulas know that it’s good for their venom and stored enough for their fangs to regenerate just letting you know for future reference exotic lair
ASMR cockroach handeling 😊
Latrodectus pallidus aka white widow
*broodmother boss theme intensifies*
Are you going to release the orb weavers into the wild or just drown the invaders?
They look like White Widows.
Aren’t your roaches technically um…ALWAYS in danger? 😂
There mites you get them in alot of big groups they life of them
I don’t think orb weavers are venomous
All spiders are venomous, but their venom varies
Omg that’s scary how ur holding these cockroaches 2:30
most of the common orb weavers cant kill you unless you are allergic.
it's still hurtful
it doesn't have to be deadly to hurt
The spiders look like the Black Widow 🥲🥲
Aparently they are white widows
wow everyone decided to attacked at once
Doubt the lobsters roach is the main issue here def the spider are even the tiny ones if they bite their venom will prob kill them
Awwwww poor dubia roaches! that is sad. it's unfortunate when a colony gets invasives.
you gonna have that problem again if you don't pick them up more carefully. nymph of other species might stick to the big ones. anywayz...
...Alright i'm not gonna question why there are spiders and so many otheer roach species in there..
Aren't you afraid of being bitten?
was that an albino roach at 10:03?
it's a freshly molted nymph, roaches can't really be albinos, when they molt they're "colourless" then with the hardening of their exoskeleton they start to produce more melanin, becoming darker once again.
I saw the same thing!
it's probably a freshly molted dubia. When freshly molted they're that colour, they go back to the usual ones as the new exoskeleton starts to harden!
Cryptachaea gigantipes might what they are

How
I aint a scientologist, but i think those spiders probably came in on the food you give the roaches, if they some how came in through your spider room you probably would of seent them elsewhere in there too.
5:26 Bro chill out, that spiders would never bite you, but will bite your roaches
Those spiders look really gross to me... the white butts kinda just make me gag. :/
Hmmm, maybe you sound of kept the ants.
Anyone know effective way to remove these spiders
katipo-spin
Exotic whats the best Tarantula for a beginner (I am thinking about getting one)
Even dudes roaches have roaches😂 thts nasty
Well im first lets put that out of the way, If i were you i would have kept the spider.
No one’s FIRST
do these roaches bite?
no
