    When I saw you use your ToDo app to link to your lists a couple of months ago, I realized I can use the ToDo app as somewhat of an outline of all my lists, and tasks, and just information in general for everything in my notes. That's what I then did. I'd lasso my headings and link to the ToDo app. My lists are not in the ToDo app. They are all linked to a note. Then I add a star to the note to mark it as being in the ToDo app for my own visual reference, as nothing in the note indicates it's linked to the Todo app. I don't even use the stars, strictly a visual for me. Watching you inspired me to use it this way. I don't really use the calendar much cause the lack thereof. Maybe later when they add multiple calendars, I'll finally start using it. So at that point, I can use the calendar aspect of this workflow. Love your videos. Keep it up.

      Thank you so much for this comment and sharing your experience. I really did get excited when i figured out this functionality. I think that Supernote needs to highlight it more. I also completely agree with you on multiple calendars. That is something that is really missing to complete this experience. Thanks again for the kind words.

    Thank you; this has opened my mind to explore how I can incorporate this into my workflow. I also am involved in multiple projects, with varying degrees of input/ownership. I'm currently using headings to flag to-do items, which I can quickly reference from the navigation window and easily cross off from there. Your findings open up some additional possibilities for managing sub-tasks. (Btw, I also could have sworn that as recently as a month or two ago, you couldn't lasso the same text and assign it as BOTH a heading AND a keyword - but I could be mis-remembering.)

    So you can only create a new To-Do from the SN device? You can't create one on your PC and then sync it?

      Thanks for the comment and question. You can create tasks from the apps, but not if you want them to be linked to a notebook. That is an area of improvement for future updates.

    As cool as this seems, it just takes too long to select something, define it as a todo or calendar event, then go on the typing prompt, correct whatever wasn't recognized properly and finally create the item. When you have more than 10 todos to organize every day, this workflow works against me.
    I have just stopped using the todo app for this reason. Too many steps when I can just bullet journal my way around

      Thanks for the comment and sharing your perspective. Yes, it is not the right choice for everyone, but it may be for others. I think you rightly point out that the handwriting conversion, while good, is not perfect, so there is the possibility of revisions. For those who do want to use it though, there is something nice about being able to start from a central task manager (the ToDo) and navigate to a notebook that contains all of the associated filed and notes for that particular project. Thanks again for the feedback!

    • @jonathanpetryk9225
      @jonathanpetryk9225 3 дні тому +1

      The roadblocks with time wasted for the OCR will be gone if Ratta decides to allow handwriting for the Todos at some point! Who knows, maybe in the future the option for your own custom macro in the Lasso options would be possible. ( Custom selection X = make todo and heading out of selection without todo confirmation screen... Just fire it there. )

    • @Change-1820
      @Change-1820  3 дні тому

      @jonathanpetryk9225 I have thought something similar as far as making it a list of options or at least a button that allows you to select multiple at once. Again, that could be hard from a programming perspective. As for the handwritten ToDo's, I would rather them allow a link between them if they are handwritten in a note and the text in the ToDo list. The main reason there is that you can then eventually integrate with Outlook or Google. At a minimum, an option might be nice. Thanks again for contributing to the conversation.

      @carlosespinal17 2 дні тому +1

      @@jonathanpetryk9225 indeed! Ratta said they would look into that. I'm hoping for an update. The same way you turn handwriting into headings, why not turn handwriting into todo's?

    • @carlosespinal17
      @carlosespinal17 2 дні тому +1

      @@Change-1820 You are spot on there. If you turn your Todo into your starting point, then it works well. Even better if you use a keyboard or the partner app to create todos.
      But in my workflow, I raise issues, ponder about them, then immediately create a todo to solve the issue, then go into the next issue. That's per project. I need the tool to swiftly create a todo for me so I can stay in the flow of issue identification>todo creation.

    Very interesting... I've always used the file folders as my "main view"
    But I've wanted a tickable option which Ratta gave as the ToDo app.
    Now being able to back and forth that easily, as "explainers" of tasks... 🤯
    It might actually change my main page preference once and for all.

    *10:30* - New Note Book.
    I'm assuming you created the note in a relevant folder, or at least where you want to create it?
    I never create notes from the Calendar as it just creates them in 'Root/Notes' where they join other often nondescript notes until the folder is a unorganised mess. I guess you could sort the folder by date, and then at some future point delete all older notes but with the fear that you might delete something important. With Android, I kinda miss the feature you get with computers where upon creation you are asked where you want to create the file.

    • @Change-1820
      @Change-1820  3 дні тому +1

      Yes, that is how I do it, I create it where I want it stored. However, I do also create "one off" notes as well and as long as I give them the proper name, I will organize them later. You can do that even more quickly using the app sometimes.

      @@Change-1820 *Thanks for that.*
      I've experienced the same having moved or renamed files before, yet although the address to the file is broken it appears the other end retains a record of the 'unique ID', allowing the device to search, find it and then record a new path. You'd think it would record/edit the new path/s when you relocated the file to spare you the wait later when it has to do the search, but then the device would have to find all links to that file and then edit every link, which would be time consuming each and every time you move or rename a file.
