- Oh hey, another game on the list of "games I love but somehow have not made a video on yet". Yeah, I love SADX, despite what the internet says about it. It's broken, but the fun kind of broken. Helps that I've been doing speedruns of this since I was like 12. (Although it's more like "playing the game faster than casual players" considering I'm nowhere near as good as the top tier speedrunners of this game. And I actually barely touch it for some reason...)
Anyway uhhh I decided on a whim to make a video of all 60 missions in this game. There's not that many people covering all of them (my main inspiration for making this video was XeniVari [originally I had a paragraph here about him deleting his old stuff, turns out he just privated them at the time this video came out, but he unprivated now!]) so even though this game is like 20 years old, I'm still making this video. Then again I did a Great Cave Offensive guide not too long ago so...

Fun story: I devised the idea to make this video yesterday, and then only realized like halfway through the missions "oh yeah, today's the anniversary". So yeah, happy 30th anniversary to this series! It had its highs and lows, and despite the really low lows, I love its highs in the end.

I had heard people talk about mission 53 be so dreadful and scary and then this video hyped it more.
Then I did it first try. Don't know if I got super lucky or I followed the directions that well. Was pretty stoked.
I honestly just feel like I'm getting lucky when I get it.

awesome guide man! Ive just found another exploit for mission 58 because i couldnt make the jump back on to the slope. You can simply edge onto the slope and as soon as the boulder starts falling, roll behind it and voila! You can now walk down the slope and grab the flags at your leisure!
Thanks for the advices on mission 53, still trying but it doesn't reach the Rings, IT stays below them (just a little) and I'm getting crazy for it
I was actually trying to get all the steam cheevos for SADX because I was having a blast with the game, but ended up not going through with it due to a combination of burning myself out with getting the best chao for the chao garden emblems and mission mode looking like a slog. Maybe I'll try to get back to it someday.
The only other ones I'm missing are for getting A rank in every stage with metal sonic and... getting Big? I have no idea why I don't have that one.
How's your progress nowadays?
The prefect adventure and metal sonic are some serious grinds. I recently pick this back up on ps3, rn I had to unlock all the characters for the mission all accomplished trophy. Hopefully that doesn't include metal sonic..
You see, "getting Big" isn't referring to obtaining him as a character but rather you're required to understand why the developers thought it'd be a good idea to include him in the game
if you haven't already to take the getting big achievement you have to make a new save file, unlock tails and play until big crashes into you without talking to him at all

welp, i got tired of mission 54, so i just used a save editor. 53 and 49 are piss easy, but 54 was not play tested at all (well, the game itself arguably wasn't)

@@Iris_Descent Yeah ig there is a ring line to hit? Idk it just is stupid overall if one slightly different input makes you fly over or under it
You can see the ring line, but yeah the inputs and positions feel way too fucking precise to actually get everything right, mainly on the third jump...
