Lemmy actually was a very peaceful man, and treated many people with nothing but respect.
Motorhead once got a musical spot on the early 80s British sitcom "The Young Ones". During a scene where the four main characters had to catch a train, in two minutes, Motorhead played Aces Of Spades on the set. It was a great episode...

When I was a kid, I had a boom box and always played "Ace of Spades" at max volume walking down the street. Pretty sure my neighbors hated me.
Remember that he was touring in 2015; he already feeling really bad (some shows was cancelled), didn't need to but he was there performing, doing what he loved.
A friend of mine said when one these shows got cancelled due some problem with his stomach : "it's a farewell. Our heroes are dying with no replacement, they are unique."

I watched a video interview with Lemmy a few days ago, and he denied the "Lemmy a Fiver", as being where he go the nickname from.
I forget where he, in the video, said he got.
But he definitely denied the 'Lemmy a fiver' story.

Yo Jared I love your stuff dude. You put out so much quality content on such a breakneck schedule. Just be careful not to burn out. I was thinking the other day, even for some of your "silly" videos (10 types of...), that probabaly takes a full day (or more) of recording, thats another day of mixing and stuff. And from the stuff you put out, I presume that you're a perfectionist, and that just adds time and work. But it really comes out great dude. Keep it up.

Great video, the man will be missed. In the next 8 years we are going to lose everyone important to ROck history. Only a few things though, the doctor didn't say that. The doctor said "you can't give blood, your blood will kill someone." Also, his nickname came from when he worked in Wales as a kid, it had nothing to do with borrowing money.
(these were things he corrected in interviews personally).

It was more of a rhetorical question, and besides, Lemmy died of cancer and Scott Weiland died of a drug overdose so it's not like old age is particularly the cause anyway. Just quite coincidental really

Motorhead were the first band I ever saw live. I got Lemmy's bass pick one time as well when I saw them and I have it framed. Never managed to get anything as cool before at a show.

Hey, if you want a nice little Lemmy appearance in a movie, there's a 1990 sci-if film called "Hardware" that he appears briefly in. He plays a water taxi driver who takes two characters into a downtown area in a post-apocalyptic setting. The song "Ace of Spades" is heard in the water taxi as he talks about how bad the world has gotten. It's a nice little scene with him.

The weird thing, I actually blasted my "Ace of Spades" album the day before he died, I hadn't listened to it in it's entirety for absolute years. I had no idea why, all I can describe is that I had the urge to listen to the album, it was like a disturbance of the force. So you could imagine my shock the next day. RIP Lemmy, a one of a kind.
Odd that you should say that mere hours before I was blasting Overkill and Bomber on my way home from work (I have an hour and forty five odd minute trip back from work). Woke up and checked Metal Archives, thought someone was trolling when there was a thread about it. I was fucking stunned. A colleague of mine also had tickets from his wife for Christmas to see him. I was getting tickets for a gig in January but they sold out.
