I believe that the drive gears are labeled/stamped right and left to help get them on correctly. I also like to put a little oil in the drive axle trans and wheel bearing when I have the machine on its side. As for value, in my market (Chicagoland) the Toro would sell for at least $150.00. That black oil draining out tells me there must have been nothing but sludge in the bottom of that crankcase. Poor mistreated mower! I hang onto used oil just for topping up depleted machines like this so I don’t waste new oil. Run it hot, drain and fill with the good stuff. 🔧👍

Nice! I’d probably price that one at around $150-175, so it was definitely worthwhile to give it a second life (hopefully to be treated better!).
