This is one of many necessary steps on the road to GM. Like with any great goal in life, it is a necessary obstacle-unpleasant, but vital for further development. As Sly said, "It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." And I truly believe that Levy will keep moving forward. Returning to high-level competitive chess is much harder and more demanding than most of us realize. Not only in the game itself, where the core fundamentals of chess understanding are being changed, but also in getting comfortable with tournaments again. Just try to imagine-after many years of playing chess from the comfort of your home, you’ve built a life, a family, and routines. Your "chess personality" has settled, and you’ve found a comfortable approach to the game. Now comes the wrecking ball: your chess fundamentals must change, and your "normal life" is also affected. That impacts every part of you... And yet, Levy is still moving forward. Remarkable. I think Coach Neiksans is doing a wonderful job, and together with Levy, they are both putting in tremendous effort and energy. It’s a harsh and long road, but at the end, there will be GM Levy. Big respect to Levy and Coach Neiksans. And again-thank you for providing so much study material. For me, this whole series is a chess masterclass.

This is the first one of these I’ve watched from the start. What stood out was Levy’s body language before th3 game even started; he looked like the mistakes that were about to happen. It’s so tough to tackle tilt. Maybe recaps, streaming, and tailored prep makes this tougher?! Perhaps he should revert to his most comfortable openings when things are going wrong? Maybe he needs a beer and to watch some comedy on TV lol Arturs is the expert and I’m sure he’ll consider all angles as he gets to know Levy better, not just his play.
Levy is really such a momentum driven player, its heartwarming. In his highest highs he goes 8/9, in his lowest lows he just blunders basic tactics like with Rf1. But we will keep rooting man, dont give up!

Keep on the good work, keep your head up and remember the journey was always going to be long, and struggles are expected along the way. We will still be here cheering for you.
Those are harder to play that it looks like when the top players are doing it, you have to have a really incredible memory, among people with incredible memories. Trying to become a GM you're playing against people who are, on average, a bit better than you've ever been. They're likely to have slightly better memory, know slightly more lines. Most of those lines have ways to force a more complicated game, and they only result in draws at the top level because even a slight opening disadvantage in order to complicate things can spell disaster. At lower levels, even 2600 GMs have a hard time forcing draws when their op wants to play.
We all have our off times when it comes to tournaments.(I just play casual "competitive" cards games on weekends) And we can learn from our loses. I hope Levy takes this in stride and keeps pushing forwards and gets that GM title.

Funny F3 was the exact move I would have made in seconds. What I see from most al players is they play predictable and or expect predictability.I see this even when GM's are analyzing cheating they always talk about "that is not a predicted or human move".This type of mentality means everything is predictable so then it comes down to memory recall and of course able to analyze several moves ahead or have a plan that involves 5-6 moves later. So long story short I like to see more creative players make opponents think.
I feel like, the first game, he could have gotten a good position by trading a piece, which he didn't want to do, because he wanted to keep pieces on the board. In other games he would often go for positions that looked more dynamic instead of playing the best moves, because he sees himself as a dynamic player. As a GM you have to be an all around player and simply play the position the way it is. Of course at this point it's a negative mental loop. But if I had to guess, I would say he needs to work on the mental aspect and stop thinking that you need dynamics to win a game. Don't try to force things, simply play the position. He had chances in most games. Fight your ego and work on the mental aspect, maybe work with a psychologist. Most athletes in other sports do this, especially in solo sports like tennis. Btw, this is meant to be constructive criticism, cause I want Levy to succeed. You can do it, man! The last few games of this tournament are free games. MAAANNN! LEVY PLEASE, STOP UPLOADING GAMES BEFORE THE END OF TOURNAMENTS. I SUGGEST YOU ONLY UPLOAD AFTER YOU FINISH A SUCCESSFUL TOURNAMENT. HERE’S WHY: I THINK YOU’RE BEING AFFECTED BY THE HATE AND PRESSURE, WHICH IS CAUSING YOU TO STRESS DURING GAMES. We want you to win man.. we’re getting emotionally hit when we see you lose. That’s why, it’s best if you focus on your journey then upload the tournament videos after said tournament is done. Seeing you have a draw or lose streak truly hurts and wretches my soul. We truly love you and truly wholeheartedly want you to win. If lowering the pressure on you by not uploading your games live would help. Do it. We know that you’re easily a GM. Not a low ranked either. We 100% believe you can do it. We seen you win against Hans, win against Hikaru and draw Grishuk. You CAN. But if social media is pressuring, update us at the end of the tournament so you can focus on winning 😊
@@darkknight32920 I completely understand that. However, Levy was also playing Blitz that game. If anything, an IM is at a more disadvantage compared to a GM in Blitz. Cuz GM’s can find the right tactics faster and more accurate.

UA-camr got kick ass in chess, sorry for comment
Its kinda funny seeing there people be so mean like they would see rf3
Hensom boy levy pls win
MAAANNN! LEVY PLEASE, STOP UPLOADING GAMES BEFORE THE END OF TOURNAMENTS.
I SUGGEST YOU ONLY UPLOAD AFTER YOU FINISH A SUCCESSFUL TOURNAMENT. HERE’S WHY:
I THINK YOU’RE BEING AFFECTED BY THE HATE AND PRESSURE, WHICH IS CAUSING YOU TO STRESS DURING GAMES.
Those wins were blitz games played casually. Classical is completely different.
The results and matches are available online anyway
@@darkknight32920 I completely understand that. However, Levy was also playing Blitz that game.
If anything, an IM is at a more disadvantage compared to a GM in Blitz. Cuz GM’s can find the right tactics faster and more accurate.
oh bot expect another video of " Ladies and Gentlemen I quit chess"😂
3 hours and no comments? Wow.
that is because you can't comment until the stream has ended :)
Because all the previous comments were in the live chat.
There's 47 now
😢💔
Levy really need to step up hes games or he never become a GM! Memory more games and more practise every singel day! Only way to become A Gm. Play more seriously tournaments and take chess more seriously! Good luck Levy! Son of a Math PHD. Guess Levy never respond to this but it is ok.
Common levy play simple and positional chess why make every game like a TT blitz match !! 😢 U can only get back to form only if u start playing real positional openings try E4 E5 they r very solid u can atleast get draws if lucky u can win but trying these lines against a gm is too foolish
I know what levy is doing it is a mental state he is looking away to give the appearance he does not care or isn't trying. He is simply looking back and reacting when he SHOULD be looking for some tactical play or some multi moves to shake up his opponents line of thought.
не быть ему гроссмейстером
Aren't you supposed to shake hands when you resign?
No one likes to shake hands with the loser levy
No, that's entirely optional. You can also tip over your king, storm out, and turn over tables in the lobby like Ivanchuk! Although, if you're not Ivanchuk you might get fined or something...
Yes and they did
@@aluminiumknight4038 that wasn't a handshake
I'm doing this to stop kids from saying first.
Levy if you had watched Agadmator you would’ve realized b4 is the best move ( it was the only move )
No GM road
Road to FM
0.5/5 and levy is sell a book about how to win in chess. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
