They did it with the p4 and p2 heinkel
Probably one of the most versatile aircraft of the war. Bomber, fighter, night fighter, precision ground attack, reconnaissance, anti ship, anti tank, VIP transport and many more. They even fit a 6 pounder tank gun to it for anti submarine work. Marvelous aircraft.
They even put a 4,000 lb bomb on it
Best thing was as a fighter bomber it was highly accurate. A raid on a german pow camp in France showed this.

Did you ever review the previous mossy? I have that one and I would like to see them compared.
I have the he111 p2 and it's a lot better than the p4 which had a very inaccurate wing shape Cobi have nailed it though I've just ordered this model gonna build it tomorrow

Ein schönes Flugzeug. Das Hölzerne Wunder, oder auch Wooden Wonder genannt.
Es gab auf Deutscher Seite den späteren Gegenentwurf Focke Wulf TA-154, der aber eher unglücklich konstruiert war. Die Deutschen Piloten haben sich bei Testflügen hauptsächlich negativ über die Sicht, Leistung und Handhabung geäußert.
Dagegen war die DeHavilland D.H. 98 Mosquito ein voller Erfolg mit allen Varianten. Mir besonders gefallen die FB Mk VII und NF Mk XII Varianten der Mosquito.

I assume you mean you can't afford it. It's not that expensive, I think most Cobi planes come in at around 45€
