Creeks to Peaks: The High Sierra Trail

We hiked the High Sierra Trail with a start date of 7/31/24, and this movie documents what we saw. Some of the highlights were swimming in Hamilton Lake, witnessing the beauty of Precipice Lake, cooling off in the Kern River, rejuvenating in Kern Hot Spring, taking Milky Way pictures with the iphone and getting up early to see sunrise on Mt. Whitney. It was a spectacular hike!

Well documented journey. On my Big SEKI Loop mid-July, I hiked against the traffic down at Wallace Creek until the junction up to Elizabeth Pass. What a beauty , and nice people everywhere, Thanks for posting.

That sounds like a great hike. One of my favorite parts of backpacking is how friendly people are on the trail. Too bad it can’t be that way in everyday life. Glad you enjoyed the video!

It was a little surprising how many people went up there for sunrise! But it made it fun to be able to kind of share the experience with everybody. They were all so happy to be there.
