Here's a hint: Maybe you can't fix a power grid with a gun.
It is not a power grid problem.
Atleast in California we have sun all year round. No freezing here, other than the babes walking around in bikinis
"everything we can" so like putting powerlines underground? right right
So in other words the city is playing the parents and are chastising the ppl ! WELL THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR HAVING THIS WORLDS IDEOLOGY
oil state of the country and has no
power!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Greg abbott's power grid 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is all that damn Rag Epps fault.
Just didn't plan ahead for the ice storm poor management
This is happening yet half of all people moving to the city want no more fossil fueled cars. The grid goes down and if everyone owns electric vehicles how do the electricians get to work if it takes a few days to fix......
hahaha... deja vu.
Good thing I can still charge up my Tesla when the power goes out. Oh wait........ nevermind... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Gas stations require power too……..
I fill up my cars and I have an extra 60 gallon gas can with a pump that I fill up when I know bad weather is on the way.
To the other commenters complaining about not having power for 2 days. When we had the Derecho a few years ago, our power was out for days. I had to run a generator to have water as I have a well, so my livestock didn't die. That was in addition to clearing fallen trees out of the way so I could get around my farm with machinery. Quit bitching.
It’s my understanding china owns power companies in Texas
Austin one of them???
The power grid in Austin is owned by the city of Austin.
Deja Vu
And people die because the infrastructure is not as important as profits. Profits are more important for Han the earth or even the life upon the earth.
The best way to stay warm is to sleep in your car with your garage door closed and the engine running.
Great advice for lefties
@@ciscornBIG hey sarcasm aside, your comment may fool someone into dying- someone may take it literally
Be prepared?
Can't provide electricity but they do provide a Tobacco Free Workspace!
You're trying to advocate for tobacco? Seriously? It's not as though having a tobacco free workspace costs any kind of electricity. Maybe keep the health risks to a minimum?
@@gaminggeckos4388 You can't possibly be that obtuse? As evidenced by the blackout, a blackout that currently has my nephew out of his apartment because theses folks can't do their job, the company isn't doing a good job. Perhaps if they were more concerned with their business, a business in which they are paid to provide electric service, and not with regulating their employees legal behavior to check some virtue signalling box, then there wouldn't be a power outage. So cut the "advocate for tobacco", B.S.
@@stuartdavis798 …But how could banning tobacco, thereby reducing cancer, POSSIBLY INTERFERE with what you’re talking about?
@@gaminggeckos4388 My apologies! You really are that obtuse.
@@stuartdavis798 So what am I wrong about? How are these two things even remotely related? Go ahead, enlighten me.
Its not like they had this issue a couple years back. 🤣
A blizzard and an ice storm arn't the same kind of issue. BUT, they should've anticipated the possibility of other kinds of harsh winter weather, such as ice storms, and implemented policies to deal with it, like what other regions do.
Going Green+ice storms=no power.
Except this ISN'T caused by going green. In fact, people who put solar panels on their rooves _are unaffected by broken power lines._ So in those cases, going green GAVE power.
Paging Rapheal Cruz, Paging Rapheal Cruz, your flight to Mexico has been cancelled yet again. MR Cruz? Mr Cruz? WHY are you not advocating for Texas. Oh yeah, vacay. LOL
🤭Shame... how many times now?🙄 We'll fill those pockets boys! 🇺🇲🤠
New song:
Abbott, the Killer.
We're not ready again this is crap
ah democrat cities
Being stopped by republican laws, yes. Many progressive laws that the city makes often get stopped by laws that the state makes.
I am very sure that it is just not democrat cities. This is what happens when people countinue not to do their jobs and just take the money. I bet he big wigs have power
good luck everybody
That's what you get for not having regulations
Jackie needs a lesson in respect
just cut a ditch in the ground that goes by everybody's house, and all they need to do is install a water wheel and walla.. turn on the lights!
BOIL WATER
nothing can be done when you have freezing rain except prayers.
Or maybe actual policies to combat it, like other regions that get freezing rain more frequently use. Things like those certainly prove to be much more likely to help than prayers.
@@gaminggeckos4388 nope... we get freezing rain all the time and NOTHING can be done. trees fall, lines fall, roads ice up. [people lose power and patience. Prayers are better than any policies you can put in place to combat freezing rain.
This is all BS
You are on your own, folks, help each other. People skills matter. 🕊️🫂
