For obvious reasons, I would have imagined Mr. Conductor's "evil twin" to just be George Carlin out of character and on one of his rants.

I am still awestruck at how much of an artist George Carlin was. He could be the most vulgar yet profound but capable of playing in a children's show
And amazed that Richard Pryor actually had a children's show to call Pryor's place I discovered on here.
There are quite a few moments in the show where you can tell he’s really trying to hold in his sarcastic Humor

george said in his autobiography that parents would introduce their kids to him cause of this show, and everytime they did the kids would freak the fuck out about how giant he was in real life.

i remember this episode! man after i grew up and saw George's comedy routines i had a hard time believing that mr. conductor and George were the same person.
Viewing this as a grown up gives me a whole new perspective on the dialogue and visuals being presented to me.

I watched this as a toddler in 92 it wasn’t until I was like 17 or 18 and my dad was like “George Carlin was in that train show you watched when you were a kid.”

We were allowed to watch HBO so me and my older brother always knew George did big people stuff and kid people stuff (as explained by our mom). LOL!

I watched this when I was very little :) Also, and I might be crazy (and doubt if anyone will know)...but are those Reid's chocolates? They look a lot like them and I know some of Shining Time Station was filmed in Ontario. I also know Reid's has been involved with filming in recent years, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved before.
