Yeah, a lot of people are happy to show you what they're looking at. Wait until they're not peering into the eyepiece, introduce yourself and ask what they're looking at. Unfortunately the weather this year was really bad... when we're not clouded in, and once your eyes dark adjust for a while, the starlight is usually enough to see people and carry on a conversation without needing any extra light.
I went to OSP this year. First yea there,got stuck down at the very end past robs stump so not much interaction with others. Just a quick question for you. Can i walk around and look through other peoples telescopes? Is that how it works? Im not really familiar. I would of asked around but by the time its dark...you cant see anyone!
