This route is new, but born from the old C08 line that previously covered Camino Real in Lo Barnechea. Now it is extended towards Escuela Militar and Paseo Los Bravos as well, providing coverage to the last sector for the first time for the entire day, previously only the C10e line did so and just during rush hours. It is part of the battery of lines tendered in 2021 under the new format of Service Units, covering fewer lines and less fleet than before and distributed by districts of origin to try to simplify operational logistics.
