Besides Chidi leaving, the only other moment in the Good Place that made me cry was when Eleanor is talking about her mom and says something like “if she has changed then that means she was always capable of changing, I just wasn’t worth it”
That line about her mom always gets me 😭
me too that was the only two parts
Eleanor telling Chidi to leave before she wakes up is the ONLY time in my life I’ve ever cried watching something

I sobbed so hard I couldn’t breathe
I rarely cry in movies and I sobbed several times through The Good Place finale

it's such a beautiful sentiment. the good place broke my heart in the best way with that last episode... what an amazing ending to an amazing show!
the sheer panic in chidis voice when he thought he made eleanor cry-
You forgot "I'll tell you this my friend with all the love in my heart, and all the wisdom in the universe. Take it sleezy." I lost it at that part.
I always cry with Chidi wanting to move on from the Good Place and Eleanor letting him go because it would be selfish to keep him there.😭😭😭

personally, Jason and Janet's goodbyes made me shed a tear or two. I don't exactly know why, they just did.

And the real tear-jerker of Eleanor coming to terms with Chidi leaving and him obliging with going before she wakes up
The Good Place finale is one of the only times I've ever cried during a piece of media. So well done
no the last episode i just cried like a solid 90% of the time
Whoever is running this channel really knows how to get us. The title too just tells me that they sobbed along w this "that made ME cry" not "YOU". They better be paying u well u deserve it

apart from these there are so many clips of michael that absolutely destroyed me. when he doesn't want to take off his human suit, when he becomes a "honorary human", when he realizes he doesn't want to kill Janet, when Becky at demoncon tells him he will always be a demon, when Shaun tells him the humans will get tortured by someone that looks like him and even when, at the train station, he tells the humans "you're my friends and I wanted to save you". there are probably many more scenes that I forgot cause oh boy does that character know how to make me sad
I don't remember not crying at any moment during the last episode . It's so beautiful and sad

"Say goodbye to me now, and leave before I wake up" reminds me of a friend who died of cancer. Her husband told us she woke him up in the middle of the night because she wanted to hug and say I love you. She had passed away the next morning.. She was a great mom to my friend, and to me..
i always come back to this video and always cry at the same points, i truly truly truly never loved any show as much as i love the good place, this is pure art

The entir moral of this show is the ideals of death, learning character development in ways we never thought of, and the fact that the earth is literally so corrupted but dosent mean that souls can’t be redeemed or redemption.
