I feel like he actually has the highest substained damage out of anyone, but him fighting airborne/higher elevation characters is tragic. "Lasar" characters like Bakugo and Todoroki just seem like a better pick.
couldn't have said it better myself. He is what I call a late game character, where he benefits from fighting close range, in a small safe zone where people can't safely snipe you.

Shigarki is easy to trap with Dabi, let one get all aggrevated and chase you down, lead him to your team well trapping, turn around and start pelting with homing blasts when they go to run away. Now if they get you locked in a melee battle and their team is already hitting you as well its game over for sure, I find him to be the best "surprise attack" character.
That’s why when playing shigaraki you don’t engage unless it’s a third party attack, and only fight in zones like typhoon and etc where you’ve got the close quarters, take the time to level your abilities early because come late game there won’t be room to run away from Tomura 😈
Something I love using Shigaraki's Gamma for is canceling Plus Ultra's/Chaos. People usually use them at low health, making them perfect targets for it.

I like how he feels a lot with cementos and or in places with buildings/tightly packed structures. Can't wait till the poke in the game is nerfed to be able to utilize characters like this with even more enjoyment.
I think he is incredibly balanced. And i say this because he is a very slow starter but if he gets up in levels he becomes a incredibly strong tick damage character and he has the down side of low mobility,no verticality and if you know how to go against him you can typically down him unless you get overwhelmed by other teams

i think shigaraki lacks too much to be a decent character, he has only damage but cant chase enemy, no projectile , no movement and no way to defend himself properly...
Actually cope so hard, Shiga is hard to even hit any good players, bakugo brain dead as hell with the aim assist and the random high dmg that he has, along with more mobility than any other Strike character with his special action that carries 2 charges for no reason, currently pro rank 4 stars and bakugo is hands down the most broken character, while shigaraki has the most dmg it's balanced out by people just being able to walk out of it. Meanwhile we got bakugo out here matching the dmg that shigaraki deals with a nice 220 dmg on Bakugo's E while shigaraki at lvl 9 with E sure it goes through shield but that does literally nothing as after this you just have to go through their shield again, with bakugo you can just sit halfway across the map blasting people and there is 0 counterplay besides Todoroki, Dabi, Compress, or Kendo. Shigaraki out here just trying to live his best life, not being able to send his left click down cliffsides, can't make use of high ground at all, most things that people camp out on are indestructible so you aren't able to use your decay ability to gap close, or break the building or structure they are on, most if not all characters in the game have the mobility and probably the brain cells to avoid the shigaraki abilities. Not sure if this video was made to highlight that shigaraki would need damage nerfs or something of the sort, but if you're going to go about it in this way, maybe cover that bakugo has more mobility than all other strikes, higher dmg values, AOE, AND a mobility quirk ability that does nearly 200 dmg maxed.
“Walk” out of it is a bit disingenuous. A second in his fields can lead to 150+ dms plus if you catch an opponent off guard or if that don’t have a good escape. Iida especially gets destroyed by a good shigaraki since he needs to be close range to do his damage In very small rings, shigi’s field control is amazing and hard to avoid, especially if the character being played doesn’t have a good jump or a way to stay off the ground. I agree bakugo is far worse but shigi is definitely extremely good and hard to deal with in small spaces I’ve seen good shigi’s 100 - 0 squishier enemies and it has happened to me before After playing Tsuyu again and playing characters at a range, he isn’t as bad to deal with as it was with Iida. So yeah, while I agree that he isn’t outright broken, I still say he is very strong since he denies characters who need to be mid to close range- mid range to get good damage and has a massive advantage in small spaces as well as being able to cut off most heroes plan of escape.
if enemies are behind a thin wall, you can detect them with shigaraki because it will have "collapse hand" on them
