  • Chicken Lollipop Recipe
    Chicken Lollipop is a popular appetizer in Indo-Chinese cuisine, made by shaping chicken wings into a lollipop-like appearance. The meat is pushed down towards the end of the bone to create a handle, making it easy to eat.
    Ingredients:
    600 gms chicken (12 pieces)
    ¼ cup corn flour
    ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    1 eggs
    2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    2 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
    ¼ black pepper powder
    Salt to taste
    Oil for deep frying
    1 tablespoon soya sauce
    1 tablespoon vinegar
    For the Marinade:
    600 gms chicken lollipop (12 pieces)
    ¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
    1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
    Salt to taste
    2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    1 tablespoon soya sauce
    1 tablespoon vinegar
    Chicken coating:
    ¼ corn flour
    ¼ all purpose flour (maida)
    1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
    Salt to taste
    1 egg
    Instructions:
    Prepare the Chicken:
    Cut the chicken wings into two parts at the joint. Remove the thinner bone, leaving the meat on the thicker bone.
    Push the meat down to the base to create a lollipop shape. You should end up with a meaty ball at one end of the bone.
    Marinate the Chicken:
    In a bowl, chicken lollipop, black pepper powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, soya sauce and vinegar. Marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
    Prepare the Coating:
    Take marinated chicken lollipop and add corn flour, all purpose flour, Kashmiri chilli powder, salt and egg. Mix it well.
    Fry the Chicken:
    Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. The oil should be enough to submerge the chicken lollipops.
    Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken lollipops in batches until they are golden brown and cooked through. This should take about 4-5 minutes per batch.
    Remove the chicken lollipops from the oil and drain on paper towels or strainer.
    Garnish chicken lollipop with green spring onion.
    Serve:
    Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
