It's interesting to hear how the path to the scene is different now. In the 90s - at least here in Europe - hc punk was all over the place. We'd get involved quite naturally through friends from school etc. But the scene had always this weird elitism about it and lots of gatekeeping. I remember the interviews in zines - they were full of trash-talking and stories who was whose bro. It's a relief that I can't here any of this here. I like this new wave of hc bands, I like the fact that machismo is not in anymore and I like the way these kids are doing it.
It's still the same in the UK. It's full of elitism and gatekeeping, it's sad.
@@DeimosPC 100% correct! Witnessed it first-hand since the early 00s. These same individuals that claim to rep Libertarianism, and its tenets; equality for all, inclusion and non-agression, but yet are the biggest bunch of judgemental and segregative pussies on the market...some things never change!
I entered through the butt...rock. Nickelback and Godsmack, then to Linkin Park and the Christian metalcore, underoath and Norma jean, then I was sucked in forever. Dig the punkier or raw or pure heavycore.
I was visiting Chico during Thanksgiving but the few punk houses were shut down and covid crushed a couple venues and a some fest went so bad that a dude stopped booking shows completely.
What sucks with finding shows here in KC is that you basically have to have Facebook to hear about them, other than that Shuttlecock is it.
Kinda insane that her first local show was Drain.
The thing I love about hardcore the most is the community of like minded people that are allowing eachother to be themselves
No fear or anxiety is needed to play live.
It can really fuel the performer in a serious way.
What do you mean? Slash is anxious as hell when he plays, it's why he used to hide his face & wear the top hat.
Peet's Major Dickason's Blend is my absolute favorite coffee! Great interview, Scowl is awesome.
Good interview, can't wait to see Skowl at Meow Wolf.
Kat Moss looks even more awesome with those Princess Leiah hairbuns or whatever.
the interviewer wants to interview himself
He probably interrupts himself, in the mirror too
Hipsters are really into themselves aren't they
cool but i cant imagine johnny rotten being concerned about drinking his spot of tea before a show

She’s such an attractive person 🥵
I HATE interviews with no conflict or disagreements. Its just not real.
That would be called a debate. Most interviews are mainly focused on the interviewee, answering questions.
