Thanks for doing this. It does not quite answer my question but it is still a great video and weather forecast ! When you were on Media I though I could see a faint folder icon so there is hope. I saw you scroll radio stations in a list so I can see it does do lists. I wish I could post a photo here but I cant so when you connect an iPhone via Bluetooth and press media and then folder button do you see and drill down Does it say My Music, Playlists, Podcasst, Aidiobook and then within My music Artist Albums Songs Genres Composers Compilations. Thanks !
I think your best bet would be to go into a Volkswagen dealership and just having a mess around with the settings yourself so you can see what it does! I’m unsure of what you mean haha
I was wondering if you have any problems when you hace yur iphone connected via bluetooth on your vw Up, when you play some audio messages on whatsapp if those audios get cut and you cannot hear them. I dont know how to solve this problem
The reason for this is that the most probable reason for the phone being in the cradle is for the use of the GPS, which does indeed drain your battery, so it’s handy to be charging whilst using maps. However for normal Bluetooth connection, nope, I haven’t noticed any abnormal battery drain. Hope this answers your question!
SECH VLOGS Thanks for this - I take it you just use your own charging cable and plug it into the USB port in the car? How is data usage with maps? Do the other features of the App use data or is it all transmitted to your phone via Bluetooth?
Yeah you can if you want, there’s a slot in the cradle which gives you access to the usb in the car. but Bluetooth would be a lot easier to use for music and things
SECH VLOGS so you could have the cradle with phone attached in place and still use the usb for music? I guess 5e downside would be that the phone couldn’t stay on charge at the same time.

Does the map get installed and used offline so I can get a new cheap phone just for the car and keep it in the glovebox when not in use.

Why would it? Use your PC/Mac/Macbook to import it onto your phone using your computer's CD drive.

In the Radio is a slot for a Memorycard SD type just on the right of the Volume knob. I use a 8GB card for many hours of music fun.
