Singer Michael Mayo stole the show when he first performed on our stage, with the all-star band Ben Wendel’s High Heart. With his remarkable a cappella skills and inventive improvisations, he got everyone on their feet. Now the American vocalist will perform with his own band, with songs from his solo debut Bones. This album promises a breathtaking mix of styles, including jazz, hip-hop, soul, electronics, and even classical music.
Michael Mayo got his education under the supervision of Herbie Hancock, who recognized his superior talents at an early stage. Michael comes from a musical lineage; his father Scott Mayo played saxophone with Earth, Wind & Fire, and his mother Valerie Pinkston sang backing vocals for the likes of Whitney Houston and Beyoncé. The album Bones was produced by Grammy-winner Eli Wolf, who has also recorded albums by Norah Jones, Al Green, and The Roots.

I know this is probably unnecesary but I gotta say that I´ve been a fan of Michael since I found his song 20/20 (my favorite) from his album Bones on Spotify, it was my first time hearing something so unique and yet so majestic. Also, I found out that he also participated in Shrek Is Love Vol. 1 and 2, that has so many good songs, so hearing this 1 hour live performance was so refreshing. I´m looking forward of more of this guys talent and I wish someday go to one of this live performances. ;))
