I love Ian. He likes to pretend to be emotionless and careless, but he's not. He listens and cares about his people. He's the Smosh dad. I'm happy Anthony is back, but Ian will forever be my El Presidente.

Anthony is great and brings a different feel to the channel, but I will forever love the energy that Ian brings more than anything else. He has just the right balance between warmth and coldness, he's such a lovely guy
I don’t think he’s pretending to do anything he just doesn’t show a lot of emotion, lots of people just don’t.
I think it's really showing how he's an owner of the company, so is likely wayyy busier than whats shown, yet takes the time to understand and really get to know EVERYONE that works for them.

Defy shutting down was the best thing to ever happen to Smosh. Literally came along way from separating cast and crew to having everyone join the fun.

the others, most stayed. we had Sunny Peabody who got chucked out in mid 2018.
The Defy era had good content, but bad workplace since the leadership was crap.

I want to argue for Daddy Ian! 🤣 I think he's actually often shown a caring side of himself and on many of these vids that have them guess things about the cast or crew, he often comes out on top cuz he knows them all so well. 🥰😄

One of my favourite things about Anthony being back is his crusade to make sure people understand how integral Ian was to smosh while he was gone, and how much stuff Ian did. I've always enjoyed Ians sense of humour, so it's been nice seeing a break in the "lazy boss" persona he's taken on.
Ian seems like the coolest boss. Just genuinely shows interest in his staff and listens.

@name.333 Tbh, I'm not the biggest fan of Anthony. It's cool he owns part of Smosh, but he kinda seems mean. Or, like his on- screen humor got stuck in the early 2000s, and it just doesn't come off well to me.
He's a great interviewer on his own show, but working with a group, he comes off like the boss. Whereas Ian, I couldn't tell him apart from cast when I started watching a few years back.
