hey, just wanted to pop in saying that if you struggle seeing in dark places (ie desolate deep) you can click the menu button at the very top middle of your screen, scroll down, and there should be a brightness/saturation option, makes it so much better to see
Oh yeah i did this earlier before getting sea mine, there's also was no tutorial about this on yt until you made it. So merlin basically gave you passive luck boost for yourself as player not just for the rod too. So when i got this idea i just go straight to merlin bought that luck boost and it only took me 100+ crab cage to get sea mine. Anyway thank for making this tutorial as possible for others to complete their bestiary👍
General information: Clear weather and merlins luck will only affect the cages drops when they ACTIVATE and not when you claim them. Aurora Borealis will boost luck x6 so if you farm enough money you can use an aurora totem and get even more money. Set spawn to desolate deep and use conception conches to return and use the mirror to teleport to sunstone
I think aurora will make you lose money. 500k is too overpriced, and even though you will get a lot of sea mines, there’s no guaranteeing that you’ll make 545k+ to profit.

You do realize the guy in the video you showed did the exact same thing, right? He even mentions how he didn't use the luck boost for the last 1000 but it was a mistake since he didn't end up getting any sea mines from that batch
This isn't a really good money making method, it's basically the equivalent of gambling at a casino. I know people who've bought and stacked luck as many times as possible, placed thousands of cages and gotten 2 mines and lost hundreds of thousands trying to do this. This is really something you have to get lucky for and financially it's not a good idea

if u want a tip when going to desolate deep just set ur spawn OR use calibrate display lighting, it increased ur brightness, u can close it it just resets ur lighting

Like others have said this is gambling. You CAN get lucky (hell I did this before videos purely because I wanted the bestiary entry and got 4 in 200 traps with merlin luck) but then next time I tried nothing. Best to stick with farming in other areas with mythical/trident like roslit bay.

You can set your spawn at the deep, buy a conch, use mirror to go to Sunstone, then pop conch to tp back

you can place before the thing is it kinda got patched since theres a cooldown to place crab cages
you waste a lot of luck time buying before placing cages place the cages before and go up then get boost will save you money and you'll earn much more
