What I do when I hear each bacteria:
Hunter: Get the shotgun ready.
Smoker: Get the shotgun ready.
Boomer: Get the shotgun ready.
Jockey: Get the shotgun ready.
Charger: Get the shotgun ready.
Spitter: Get the shotgun ready.
The chargers more of a get your AI teammates in the way but yeah basically
Boomer: get the pistol ready. Conserve ammo
Problem? Zombies
Solution? Shotgun
Witch: auto shottie ready
Tank: spas ready (it looks cooler than auto shottie)

@@alicivelek9429 There is a mutation for there to be 8 max and I'm assuming he was playing that, but there's only 6 bacterias. Tank is either triggered in Finale or is heard growling somewhere down your path, Witch is obviously heard crying.
I love how the cues match perfectly with each Special infected. The musical score of this game is perfect.

It's wonderful how one sound can tell you everything about the character.
You know, its amazing how its these little tracks of music that only last a few seconds are such a staple of the series.

But I just mean the low notes. Much like the Spitter uses high notes which represent this thin tallness, the Boomer does the opposite with the low notes.

No they weren't, these are just the violin versions (I think they play when they when an infected is far) of the jingles

The sounds to for special infected have to be the most creative, invented, and genius sounds ever created for a video game. Timeless. Each one just perfectly suits each character. Amazing.

i like it when this plays, as it is creepy to know one of the infected is lurking but not close by. it doesnt fit in with l4d2, but definetly with l4d1, especially when the scary ambience comes to play
L4D was more: "Oh shit everyones dead..."

L4D2 can be described in a single sentence:

@Firemarok On the PC my Tank soundpack is the Heavy Weapons Guy (from TF2, for the less intelligent), so I hear "om nom nom...nom nom" when there's a tank around. Funny, but creepy at the same time, since I just realized there's one around! D:
It’s weird that the Survivors don’t mention about hearing the Smoker, Charger, Spitter or Tank but they mention hearing the Witch, Hunter and Jockey.

I love how each bacteria compliments the way each special infected is designed.
The Jockey is a skittish little thing that runs on quick little feet.
The Spitter is a taller, more sluggish zombie that lobs spit balls at you.
The Charger is a top heavy infected with one large arm that lumbers around.
The Hunter is a loud, screaming hoodie wearing zombie that leaps around at great speeds.
The Smoker is a wheezing, tall special infected that leaves behind a noxious cloud of smoke when killed.
The Boomer is a slow, fat zombie that vomits on you and explodes on death.
Valve makes awesome games with amazing sound design and character design, its a shame they don't do it anymore so they can milk whats left of TF2 and bloat CS2 with expensive skins and gambling elements.

I like the charger's bacterias' especially the piano version of that bacterias'. I just think it really matches the charger
I can imagine the infected on the piano playing their jingles meanwhile the jockey forgot his and instead slammed his face into the violen

@Tess1061 I've actually learned some of the best times to spit is when someone is stuck in the middle of a horde.
@Firemarok Actually In Dead Center campaign I clearly heard him behind wall in Whitaker's gunshop. Door opened, I carefully looked what's there and there You go - he was upstairs doing some lame bot-hiding, showing his overgrown muscles from behind corner :P He "triggered" after I started shooting at him - he probably would do the same thing if I'd just walk on these stairs.

it's not to confuse you, it's to let you know that theyre close by. strings is when theyre further away, piano is when they are getting closer. hope this helps ya! :D

I love the spitter bacteria that I literally learned how to make its sounds lmfao💀
For those of you who don't Know what the screamer is it was a special infected cut out from L4D1 and 2. What it did was when it saw you, you had to kill it before it starts screaming and alerts a horde. If you don't It wil run away and the horde won't do away until you kill the screamer. The screamer looked like an insane asylum escapie and wore a stretch jacket but the mouth piece was broken so the only thing he could do was scream and run away. The More You Know

The hunter one always makes me freak when I'm on PEELZ and forty or fifty feet from the safe room.
This is the song if 2 ore more of each speical infected is nearby. Its not the same sound if just 1 boomer or 1 hunter etc, is nearby

Boomer: sniper or a pistol
hunter: sniper,pistol or shotgun
smoker: Desert Eagle
Witch: monotow coctail and a gun
tank: run and shoot with a gun

On top of that, while all of the other bacterias have attention-grabbing high-pitched or deep violin chords (I hope that's the right term), the Smoker one is two simple, easily-missed chords right in the middle range. It's also neither frantic nor booming like the others, it's just... there. Unsettling as fuck.
