- Crazy evening at the Riverside thankfully saw Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland side win late on against Middlesbrough thanks to a weird own goal by January signing Ryan Giles. The result keeps the Black Cats in touch of the automatic promotion places in the Championship. Onto two massive home games against Watford & Luton! Get in!
6 pointer a massive result...kept us in touch at the top.
Aye with Watford at home on Saturday then home again against Luton in midweek then a massive away game at Leeds United at Elland Road 🛣️ on the following Monday(2 weeks tonight)
Le fee is different gravy
Aye we paid a great fee for...er Le Fee. 😂 😆
I suppose he is great stock for us. 😂
First win against Boro in second flight since 1962, when Cloughie scored against his former team.
Le Fee is a tremendous player. Great to see Wilson score again.
What a result. Gotta give credit to the Boro support for making such an intense atmosphere until the 3rd goal went it.
There were certainly a couple of sketchy moments but that always happens in a derby.
Feels like Le Fee is just starting to get into gear and seems to relish the championship pace and physical battle.
I’ve not seen a Sunderland team spirit like this in YEARS and Isidor on a permanent is massive.
Ha’way the lads!
is it just me? I can’t stop smiling! 😊😊😊😎😂
3 or 4 times in the last 10 minutes our players selected row z instead of trying a dodgy pass. That's exactly what is needed.
The two Boro goals are interesting, because they explain twotypes. The first is being sliced open, which we rarely concede. However, the second goal one is very much a Sunderland goal to concede and almost cost us again.
With that all said, I am over the moon with the win, as we deserved it and deserved some fortune. Le Fee is just wow and Isidor brings me so much joy.
Le Fee is class ,now let's find his best position. First 30 minutes we were horrendous. Isidor had Ayling in his pocket 😅
There were lots of fantastic performances but Enzo was simply outstanding! Closely followed by Neil and Roberts! The touch and cross for the 3rd goal was magnificent 👏 that was a huge win and was needed after the Plymouth game! I said we would have taken 4 points from the 2 games just did not expect it to be that way round 😂
I love our team, they give everything and never give up!
Ha Way the Lads
First! Michael that was a huge win!
Micheal Roberts was fouled twice mate
great to wake up to this one in Melbourne! But yes Plymouth was a little disaster...but this makes up for it....its frustrating!
That was a wild one. We'll take the 3 points in this roller coaster type game.
Neil and Le Fee took the plaudits , but Roberts deserves a lot of praise tonight and deserved to be on the pitch to get the chance Poveda did . Also , Samed was very good in his cameo after being heavily criticised for his two appearances so far
I hope we never see poveda play in a Sunderland shirt again
@ Since his smiling face at the final whistle vs Watford 👍 It was a strange substitution
Game changer Enzo & World class Wilson this could define our season !!!
A massive massive win!!!
Samed played a really important role when he came on
Finally ended the Riverside hoodoo, I had a feeling we were going to end the Riverside hoodoo because we have done it before this season. Last time we beat Boro away in the league I was only one year old and the last victory we had at the Riverside in general was 2012 in the FA Cup, about bloody time.
Great result and a fair breakdown. Onwards to saturday ⚪️🔴🐈⬛❤️
Yes Michael lad! We love a result like that.
Great summary and win
Sunderland needs to sort out there starting in games
It's a great result as Boro are a good team...Boro have scored more goals and had more shots than most of the league and Sunderland so it was always going to be an attacking game. Team is looking focused and mentally strong.
Great review,should def do radio
A massive win that keeps us in sight of that second place Haway the Lads Keep the Faith 🔴🐈⬛⚪️👏👏👏👏
good sum up mate. over the moon with the result
First 30 you could have driven a bus through our centre backs, ridiculous. After that we played really well and agree we just about deserved the win. For their own goal that first tough by Enzo. Magic. Giles was not really to blame IMO as just could not sort his feet out. Wilson! What a guy, puts their goalie on his arse for his goal and his celebrations at the end!!!
MoM either Neil or Enzo but think Dan just about deserved it.
Classic Sunderland alright - in my life we've never enjoyed good luck - apart from the beachball v Liverpool! But we had some tonight.
What did I say? WHAT DID I SAY?! Haway the lads 😂🔴⚪️
Le Fee looks a cut above but credit to Neill and Isidor who were huge too..They all played well although Jobe wasn't his usual self for me, O'Nien made another mistake with Jobe but he did make that diving header to defend our goal at 3-2, people can say 2 own goals is lucky but Neil and Le Fee created the opportunities to put them under pressure, it was a hard fought but deserved win for me and now we need to do it again on Saturday. HWTL.
Samed looked sharper and quicker in both body and mind last night. Getting that match fitness. Could be essential come end of the season!
Michael... this was better than... well almost... Ha way! I leave the analysis to you... And it's Sunderland..... Sunderland AFC...... we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen....And it's Sunderland..... Sunderland AFC...... we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen
I appreciate Sunderland beating Boro, Lets hope Cov return the favour and beat Leeds! 😅
@@mattsb449 I’m not too bothered about Leeds personally! But good luck all the same. Please beat both Burnley & Sheff Utd though 😂👏🙏
Lol we’ll try, maybe we can hold Burnley to another 0-0 🤣
@mattsb449 that’s fine! As long as you beat Sheff Utd!
Great win. O'nien is super lucky we didn't drop points tonight otherwise there is a serious conversation needed about whether he needs taking out of the side for Ballard or not. A liability no doubt.
Good summary Michael
I love Patto, but when he plays out from the back my heart rate goes off the scale. Le Fee was a class act tonight. Can't wait till we get a free kick just outside the box. Don't think we've had one since he came.
We'll what a brilliant away result brilliant pass and brilliant finish from isidor I thought mayenda had scored the 3rd till I saw the replay.. good finish wasn't it 😂.. its about time abit of luck our way 👍👍 MOTM le fee👏👏.. BUT what the hell was onien doing AGAIN 🙄 that's the 3rd time his fcuked up Infront of goal in a month TBH Michael and header in his own goal a powder pull headed Plymouth game that didn't clear the box for there 2nd. it's about time Ballard played alongside mepham hopefully Saturday 🤞🤞🤞
Great deserved win! MOtM Enzo Le Fee ….he‘s a class above. Jobe looked sluggish at times….although overall he had a decent game.
Sunderland got lucky with two of the three goals…but was well deserved for all the bad luck you’ve had this season- Isidor goal was masterful
Oh yeah no denying we got lucky with two of the three goals. I’d argue Boro got lucky with their second as we gifted it to them by passing out the back. Felt we deserved to win mind.
But you’re right, saw a couple of comments on a stream saying we’re the luckiest team this season. Are they for real? We’ve had quite our fair share of bad luck before this. All the late goals we’ve conceded for a start.
Superb win! Le Fee and Neil tremendous!
Was a foul on Roberts for their first goal
O Nien was at fault for the equaliser. Just an unnecessary risk when we were well on top. I like O Nien but needs to be Ballard and Mepham for me
LeBris got subs right and we have real options on the bench now
Ha'way!!!!!!! 🔴⚪
Great view of the game Micheal but I do think the pass out O'Nien could have done better ...
Well we got away with that one and won on Teesside for the first time since a Cup win there in 2012.
It's our first league win at the Riverside since 2005.
Middlesbrough were unlucky but that's ⚽ football ⚽ for you. 😂
How were Boro unlucky. We had 9 shots on target to the Boro 4. We missed some unbelievable chances to win more comfortably and the Boro keeper made some great saves
@@davidbudding5836 Well I heard from a report that Middlesbrough could of been two or three up in the first half. 🤔
Second half apparently we were much better but could of finished off more chances.
We did have some luck with the own goal 🥅..(or was it own goals. 😂)
Good win sunderland 2 3
Two fouls on roberts mate ! of course it was a fou!
Dan Neil said we have a problem with not turning up till the opposition scores.
As it stands I'm not gonna lie the transfer side of things has been disappointing but that result and performance has made things feel a lot better, fantastic result, our first double over Boro since 62 I believe and our first away win against them in 20 years and u know what we fully deserved it, yes we did start the game slow, first 10 minutes we were poor, takes going a goal down to start playing and to be honest once we got the equaliser I thought we dominated and controlled the rest of the game, Enzo Le Fee OMG he was absolutely outstanding, took him maybe 20-25 minutes to get into the game but once he did he was on another planet, the assist for Isidor, the ball across for the Own goal, his flicks, passing and touches were premier league caliber, we have to get promoted cos we need to keep this lad, he's probably once of the best playmakers we've had since Sess and Malbraunque, also special mentions to Isidor for the goal, Neil was the only midfielder doing stuff all game, Roberts actually put in a really good shift, Mepham solid as usual and Cirkin had a really good 2nd half after an average first half, negatives were Onien unfortunately is starting to become a massive liability and needs dropping, we've got Ballard on the bench a proper CB bring him in, I thought Rigg and Jobe were really off it, Jobe to slow and Rigg was far to lightweight, the midfield only looked for Solid once Samed came on, all in all great win, fully deserved victory, level on points with Burnley, 3 behind Sheffield United and Watford on Saturday before the rest play, got to win that game especially being at home, got to take advantage and put the pressure on them 3, 🔴⚪🔴⚪🇨🇵, Le Fee MOTM BTW 😂
Our first league win on Teesside since 2005(Julio Arca scored a free kick that day if I remember right 😂)
But it's our first win on Teesside since a Cup win back 🔙 in 2012.
@davidgraham6781 that's right.
@@ThaneME2 Aye I'm showing my age again. 😂 😆
O9 at fault yet again, lee fee is top class if we don't go up he will go to arsenal he good enough for them, the ref.let Boro off with a lot fouls, ftm and the smoggies
That touch by le fee was pure filth… filthier than the blandford bogs.
Hello stranger, glad to see your creating such an incredible depth opinion on your video's. Always appreciated question is are you gonna replace us next season or be playing against us? Wish Sunderland all the best for the rest of the season take care Micheal lad
@@scottblankley1199 if we’re playing against you in the league next season, hopefully it’s because you’ve stayed up!
Roberts was tackled once and then the front which was a free kick
Have we any news on danns and transfers ?
Danns looks done. Nothing else unfortunately in terms of incomings I think.
@michaelbowers541 I'd like to see danns come in, other than that I'm happy with the squad at the minute.
Did poveda injury himself when he slipped he didn't need a touch just put it in the back of the net
All jobe had to do pass it back to where it came from
Not Jobe's fault. It was a hospital pass from Onien. Hackney still took his goal well
Leeds Sheffield United or Burnley i wrote Sunderland off as i thought Middlesbrough should have taken out wilson isidor with a kneebreaker
Never mind Boro chances. Riggs chance, Isodor's chance, Mayenda's chance and Proveda's chance.
Boro 2
Sunderland 7
That own goal was scripted no player around him could of even let that go out. Pure rigged charity derby
