    I guarantee that the writers of the Section 31 show/movie does NOT care about anything that you spoke about in this video.

    • @BarthBennett-qv5ky

      Ofcourse Kurtzman doesn’t care. That’s why the producers of Star Wars deserve way more credit because even though they’re dropping their new shows like hotcakes, the Mandalorian taught them two things: that the essence of Star Wars power is nostalgia and that you can still introduce new refreshing characters without risk to injuring cannon. They learned their lesson from those sequels and knowing that those sequels was just a money grab, the question remains will they discontinue them or rework them to the point they don’t exist. Plus Star Wars doesn’t deal with time travel the way Star Trek does so it’s a possibility that Star Wars can do a time travel episode or show where the sequels become an alternative universe or parallel universe die hard fans can forget about. Kurtzman and Mr. Fake Godzilla JJ Abrams were more than willing to flip and twist Star Trek into whatever they want since Paramount only cares about making money off a franchise that brought damn near a billion or more. It sucks that Kurtzmans ego will never allow him to dive into the power of Star Trek which is nostalgia and blending that with something new. He has not done that at all with both the visualizations and the writing. I really don’t like that man but it’s paramount that deserves the most blame.

      i would agree with barthbennett as time travel and alt-timelines due to 4th dimensional warfare explain a lot. like in st:enterprise its suggested the main timeline after first contact is the result of q forcing the enterprise d to meet the borg then first invading earth after assimilating the flagship captain Picard then the second time invading earths past that actually made the timeline of piece. in ds9 its suggested again the mirror universe has some strange link to the canon universe. so just like jj trek is kelvine timeline is a alt-timeline so is ufp timeline a alt-timeline and the iss timeline could actually be the original timeline as if not effected by 4th dimensional attacks as suggested in sto. until its discovered threw a transporter accident (yes them dam transporters) a rift between iss and ufp timelines exists at places time travel like what the borg used in star trek first contact that was used twice as the enterprise E copied the borg time travel to get back. so just like the lost era kelvin timeline and ufp timeline have section 31 but mirror universe does not as humans there dont make piece. like quark said humans can be nastier than the most blood thirsty Klingon without a shower root beer soda and memory foam bed and like sarek said in st:enterprise the duality of man is so unmatched they could destroy or unite the galaxy. that means a section 31 show could be all about the start of piece actually started by q and made successful by humans and attacked by time travel and stopped by section 31 with a little help from discovery and time agent Daniels who was also on the enterprise E in star trek first contact and a few times on voyager and the nx-01 enterprise. time agent Daniels will be a key character if the discovery season starting in the 32nd century has daniels again.

    instead of a new series in some unknown future I rather would love to see a series about the lost era with the ORIGINAL uniforms
    Its one of my absolute hated things, that for every new series they produce new stuff for everything instead of using the already existing (timeline appropiate) things...

    • @ernestcline2868
      @ernestcline2868 3 місяці тому

      I may be in the minority, but I was always fond of the ST:TMP uniforms. I'll grant that as a way to quickly identify on screen what various background characters are doing, they are lacking, but the subdued color scheme is common to most real world uniforms. About the only place brilliant color schemes would make sense would be a hangar bay or engineering and in that case, we wouldn't have all engineers wearing the same color as is the case in Star Trek.
      For that matter, even with the Preservers mucking about with so many species' DNA, it's unlikely that all Federation member races would have identical color vision, so if the point is to make uniforms visually distinctive by task, patterns rather than colors would make far more sense.

    Cardasian Border Wars should have been officially eneded before 2266. As TNG s1 was 2264, doesn't make sense that there's no mention of an ongoing war in the first several seasons.

    Definitely ALOT of material to mine in the Lost Era. Personally I always wanted to see an extended back flash of the....I'm going to butcher the spelling here...Kittomer massacre. Not for the violence, but for the importance of the story. It's mentioned practically every other episode! 😂.

    Interesting canon error. Scotty is on board the Enterprise B when Kirk "dies" in 2293, then gets stuck in a transporter beginning in 2294. When the Enterprise D rescues him, he says something like "I should have known. I bet Jim Kirk himself..." But to Scotty, Kirk would have been dead. 🤔

    • @elendil95
      @elendil95 3 місяці тому +1

      Alot of people suggested that he just was a little dizzy from the long time in the transporter buffer and mixed things up / shortly forgot that Kirk died 😁 the obvious real-world reason being that the TNG-Episode was produced before “Generations“ 😁 By the way: Was it ever explicitly mentioned that he got stuck in the transporter in 2294 in canon? If I remember correctly it was never stated when exactly he ended up in that transporter, other that it obviously happend some time after “Generations“.

    The Enterprise B never accomplished much. Captain John Harriman was always taking shore leave to help an old friend of his from school ditch a day at work to just go screw off. I heard Harriman destroyed the Enterprise B after ranting how this time he was really going to show his father. Of course this shameful time period would be kept mostly hidden and classified from Federation Citizens and Star Trek fans.

    11:07 I can see why this is fiction. Real world, Harriman would of been relieved of duty for "a loss of confidence in his ability to command". Lose the crew, lose the ship. Six US Navy captains have been relieved of command this year (2024) alone, and its only June. No way in hell would the captain for the flagship of the fleet would still be in command after that fiasco.

      Nostalgia and most of the big bads are dealt with. The Borg are toast. The Romulans are virtually gone. Klingons and the Cardassians aren't a threat anymore.
      A series which advances the plot needs to find a new threat. That's a risk and most executives are risk adverse at this point

    • @annapocalypsezero4719
      @annapocalypsezero4719 7 днів тому

      @@baconpwn well, you can never be sure about the original borg but they are so diminished in the delta? quadrant that yeah no longer a threat for a long time. Same with the romulans though they are slippery so may not be as weak as it seems. Maybe they could do more through the wormhole with the dominion and the breen, the Klingons too are unpredictable. But they could do what the original series did go into deep space investigate things maybe find new enemies there is still a hell of a lot of unknown space. As you say if they got the nerve to do it and the talent and i'm not sure they have either.

    I see three possibilities for the "lost era." The first would be a new series based somewhere in between TOS and TNG. It could include portraying a young Picard and Tuvoc from Voyager. Many possibilities are envisioned. The second option is a mini series laid out in two hour segments over 4 - 5 days much like Roots and put on DVD for distribution. The third option would be a series of movies shown in theaters as well as DVD sales. I personally would prefer a mini series as frankly I believe Star Trek is burned out for yet another series. Give us a good taste but let's not drag it out for God knows how many seasons. I would still like to watch any of the options though.

    I love the explanation you gave for the Lost Era. There are so many events in the original next generation that I would love to have seen or love to see.
    Unfortunately I'm not a fan of the new Star Trek, so don't all come for me. I would love to have seen the romulan war, which Braga had said that the script was already done for the 5th season and that was going to be the main focus and CBS had to cancel it which was a huge mistake.
    To me, section 31 has always been a wonderful mystery. Something to keep you thinking all the time. So a section 31 movie is not for me. I don't want to see it because I want to keep that mystery, And luckily, since I've never watched Discovery or any of the other new shows, I still have that wonderful mystery feeling of section 31 not ever knowing what it truly truly is. That's what I loved about how they portrayed 31 in deep space nine when one of them met with Dr. Bashir.
    But if anyone can point me in the direction of all the different books that would fill in all the different errors that are lost that we didn't get to see during the next generation or the original or deep space 9 voyage or even Enterprise. Please feel free to throw it to me cuz I would love to just sit down and read countless hours of Star Trek. Thank you and thank you for your video.
