the breakup scene was supposed to be a mirror of the scene where vi gets mad at powder in s1, as in vi gets a taste of her own medicine (not justifying caitlyn’s actions, it’s just an intentional parallel the creators made). they’re canon in lol so they’ll have at least be fine with each other when the show is over, so don’t get your hopes up. it’s not lazy writing, either way.
