That sounds so good!
Very Robin Trower-esque playing! Nice indeed!
Very impressive
I do the samething. I play solo and with a couple of bands. I love my amps but one of the bands I play in I use the joyo americansound straight to the PA. its a fatastic pedal for the price.
Ver y good clean
Very nice tone. What else is on the board? I see the Joyo Comp, HOF Reverb, Flashback Delay, how bout the others?
Thanks - yeah sounds decent eh. This is my friends setup sorry (I just lent him the Joyo for the morning), so I'm not sure what's on his board. It changes regularly though! The sound you're hearing was just the joyo with a little reverb on it though.
Did you put it before the reverb, delay, and modulation pedals? Or after?
I'm very tempted to buy this pedal; is there anything special I would need to buy for it to use it at most venues (e.g., special cables, a DI box, etc.)?
This pedal is a no brainer at the price for which it sells. I have the American Sound and the AcTone and both are superb. I generally run them straight into my clean amp, but for silent practice I run them to an old analog mixer for headphones out, no DI box, and it works extremely well. It would be the same going to a powered speaker, but as Philip Rose implies, to get the best out of it (especially if your speaker needs to see an XLR) you should use a DI box - I've been considering the excellent Mooer Radar.
For sure, you will need a reverb pedal though as it is a very dry signal otherwise! Usually you would place the reverb before the Joyo pedal just as you would before an amp, but if you are using two pedals as I do, I have found that the reverb works almost as well after the two Joyo pedals. They aren't high-enough gain to give problems with reverb tails! Oh, and the pedals are extremely dynamic, so you can set it to a higher gain and roll off your guitar''s volume to clean up the signal. Good luck.
@@anthroknight Thank you! I did end up getting it. It sounds waaaayy better than any of the amp sims in GarageBand. I've been placing it at the end of my chain as it if it an "amp."
@@anthroknight your comments are spot on Tony. I actually run a Kemper Profiler as my main rig and have the Joyo as my backup. I have to say when I plugged in the Joyo it really impressed me, incredible sound quality for the price!
That's great, Michael. I was using it this evening for practice. I have a back problem that can't be operated on because of current lockdown procedures and I bought a tiny Vox MV50 Clean to use instead of messing around with my large amps or mixer, and I plug the American Sound straight into it. The MV50 is superb. With the Joyo it's even better.Enjoy!
Pause and copy the setting😀
Are you going through a DI box, or just straight to PA?
Pretty sure we went into a DI box first, then into the PA (as the pedal doesn't have an XLR out).
I hope you reply to this, but what cab sim are you using?
Hi, the Joyo American acts as a cab sim as well, this is straight out of the Joyo and into the desk (via a DI Box).
@@phildjana oh i see! Thank you so much! Could i ask again so sorry, what are your settings for this pedal in the video? The sound is so amazing
@@imnotokayimsam start with everything around 12 O'clock, with the drive right back at around 9 O'clock, then tweak to your liking from there. You'll probably need to adjust depending on your PA. Cheers
Do you recomend the dyna compressor?
@@phildjana thank you very much, thanks to you i will buy the american sound and the dyna compressor
Hy sir, greetings from Indonesia, i wanna ask u, if u are playing direct, did u used another cabsim? Cause i’ve heard joyo american has an cabsim on it
Hi - this is playing direct from the joyo pedal to our sound desk, (then to the PA system), the joyo american pedal has a cabsim built in as you say, so can go straight into the sound desk. Sounds amazing for the price.
Is pedal FX built with cabsim?
The Joyo American pedal has a cab sim built in, so you can run it straight to the PA system.
No...he took the time to reply to you and fabricated what he wrote. 🙄
I love how you have cheap amp sim and cheap pedals but sounds awesome.
