Now they enabled that by default on windows 11 home and most people don"t even know bit locker is on so how would they know what there recovery key is. My parents pc as windows 11 home and bit locker was enabled by default good thing i notice before all this mess Microsoft needs to figure it out because it's bugs after bugs bad updates after bad updates maybe they should stop focusing on new ads sorry features and recommendations and focus on putting good and stable os first.
Home has "device encryption" which is Bitlocker without the granular options in the control panel. Home has defaulted to "on" since Windows 10 if you use an ms account
I say that there are some bumbling idiots at the helm and that's all there is to it! Again, this is yet one more reason to add to a large host of idiot moves that mikrosmarts shall commandeer your PC at virtually every turn and yet just one more reason to get rid of this OS altogether!!! Send it the scrap heap and don't look back because if you don't you'll most likely cause you even greater headaches. In the short term, it just might cost you dearly, especially if you are a business owner or a high rolling corporate entity or a banker, or even a home user and most of all an IT manage- ment specialist! There seems to be too many mistakes and idiot moves to even stomach all of these disasters that they have created and I find it highly offensive at this point to even care about mikrosmarts!!! Dump, rinse and repeat!
Looks like everyone is not doing full testing of patches. Thanks for sharing
Unintentional ransomware, great job Microsoft, as usual. 🤦♂️

It only defaults to "on" if you use an MS account for login. The recovery key is in the ms account.
🤣🤣🤣In near tears now. What next??????? How may users seriously ticked now?
So glad I have never enabled bitlocker I am sure it is a useful tool but sounds like it causes people more headaches
The problem is that i i heard around there we must be alert, because MS could be auto enabling BitLocker without users permission.
I’m using windows 11 home desktop. But the system somehow says I have bitlocker on despite never installing it.

Wow....oh my goodness
Nearly downloaded the update for my work pc. Decided to postpone it till next week😂
I dont use bitlocker. I dont have a laptop though maybe that makes more sense but i heard bitlocker is the easiest encryption for someone to bypass.
Ok, Bitlocker your drive, throw away the key and bypass it.
