Brings me back memories from my childhood, I grew up watching Disney movies on VHS when I was 8 years old.❤❤
I don't know if it's just me but as a kid i used to smell the vhs boxes because they smelled brand new.
Wow that’s a smell I haven’t smelled in years😅
You weren’t the only one 😭
jasonaw2 same but I can still remember it clearly
I used to smell the VHS after watching it
me too
I used to watch this ALL THE TIME.
6:24-6:28 It’s A Kinder Gentler Genie, Look At It!
@@TroublesomeSlateTruck That's what Robin Williams was doing the voiceover.
Okay wow, so that Hunchback trailer remains to be one of the most epic trailers for any Disney movie ever, at least in my mind. And the movie was just as good as the trailer.
Looking back on ‘em Hunchback did in fact have some pretty epic trailers (VHS and theatrical)
It’s not every day that you get a movie that is as good as it’s trailer.
That Hunchback trailer always gave me chills. Still never watched the movie tho.
It's a bit of a mixed bag tonally, but worth the watch
what
I grew up with this VHS and it brings back such fond memories of my childhood. My most favorite part of this is the Toy Story Disney Interactive trailer. The K-A (Kids to Adults) logo on the Toy Story Sega Genesis/SNES section is the icing on the cake. 😉
I'm happy to still have all the VHS tapes of the Disney movies. Just wish I had a working VHS player.
Green Ninja dragon 🐉

If you find one that doesn't work put a cleaner in it or even just a brand new tape up something and it might clean it up for you you might be able to find one online maybe even at a thrift store but I don't think so
Seeing those old previews from Disney vhs tapes from 1990’s brings back good memories I really miss the 90’s
Same here
I always watched this when I went to my grandma’s house 😊❤️
thank you abigail
These previews scream nostalgia.
Whatt!!!
I miss watching these ads so much! I'm glad I was a '90's kid.
SuperFanboy101 me too, but I was born in 1997.

That tapes were enjoyable to me with these start before the movie.
0:22 Walt Disney Company Intro, then a 25th Anniversary Trailer (walking), then a Toy Story VHS Trailer, then 101 Dalmatians trailer, then the animated storybook for The Aristocats (featuring maria), then a Bugs life, then 101 dalmatians the series and recess trailer (abc), then the hunchback of nutore dame trailer, then the stay tuned after the feature id, then the handwriting feature presentation logo, then the walt disney masterpeice collection logo, then the disney logo from 1990, then the buena vista logo, then the opening, and we watch the movie.
The Aristocats was inspired by the true story of a Parisian family of cats, circa 1910, that inherited a fabulous fortune. The Aristocats was the last animated feature to be approved by Walt Disney and the studio's first animated feature to be entirely completed after his death. It should be noted, however, that Disney had spent time working on the story for The Rescuers (released seven years later) around the time The Jungle Book entered production. The last film in which Eric Larson worked as a supervising animator. From then on he concentrated on training the younger animators that came to the studio during the 1970s and '80s. The first Disney animated feature film with the 1967 MPAA logo in the credits, up until Frozen II, the logo would consecutively appear in every film in the Disney animated classics lineup.
When he says "and look for these great disney movies to add to your video collection" the music is from Oliver and Company.

me too, but The Hunchback of Notre Dame is just sad because of the death of Esmeralda because of Frollo, who also died thanks to Quasimodo.

It is actually The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, the story of one extraordinary human being discovering the magic within himself.
Oh yeah, the Aristocats! This was teased on The Lion King's VHS, but never released until 1996. Wonder what caused the delay? Miscommunication on the date? That'd be my guess at least.

2:23 The trailer for Hunchback practically spells out what kind of movie it’s going to be
I love the McDonald's Toys this one year in the 90s
The box for the toy looked like the VHS box
The Aristacats one was my favorite
It was Italian cat with the trumpet
This VHS opening is no different from the other ones. Good job!
In my opinion, the trailer for "Hunchback" from this VHS is still one of the most epic Disney trailers ever made, even to this day. I remember I had this exact Aristocats VHS as a kid and I used to rewind and rewatch the Hunchback trailer over and over again. I then had to show it to my dad (I was about 7 at the time) and I said "This movie looks amazing! Please take me to see it when it comes out!" and he took me to see it on opening day, and it was the first time in my life I saw a movie in theatres on the day it was released!
I know a lot of people don’t hold this Disney movie in particular with high regard but this movie has been a guilty pleasure of mine since childhood. That’s also where my fondness of cats and dogs came from. There were scenes I definitely laughed at and man that Butler getting what he deserved in the end was so goddamn satisfying. Serves him right for stealing those cats from a rich lady in Paris. I remember watching this on VHS (I still have it to this day but you’re ultimately better off getting the Blu-ray release or watching it on Disney+) at my old house prior to moving to the house we’ve lived at ever since.

Random fact: This was the first animated Disney movie released after Disney’s death, as the studio was now entirely on their own to come up with their own ideas and stories
Jungle Book was the first released after Walt’s death and yes Aristocats was the first one produced after Walt’s Death
Watching all these on all our vhs tapes. Since I was 3, good memories
muppet treasure island on video soon i'm obsessed with the muppets
I recently bought this exact copy at goodwill for 99 cents.
Rather odd they omitted the usual Feature Presentation ID in favor for a voiceover on the Masterpiece Collection logo only for this release. Considering the overall length of the opening previews, maybe they did it to save time or for tape length constraints?
This also happens on Oliver and Company as well
@@matthewhedrichjr.5445 coincidentally both tapes had the original version of the Walt Disney company intro.
Robin Williams Doing The Genie Voice So Incredible
He came back to reprise his role as the Genie in Aladdin and the King of Thieves.
@@mitchellhodack657 I heard there was gonna be a 4th Aladdin film that would’ve used unused voice clips of Robin Williams for the Genie, but a clause in Robin Williams’ will stopped the sequel’s planning in its tracks.

any public performance, copying or other use is strictly prohibited.
I once asked someone why The Aristocats was the last vintage single story feature to be released on video given that we’re familiar with the untouchables motto Disney was going with in the 80s, and a random Disney wiki user answered my question, “It’s a post-Walt film and all it’s releases were successful.” Well…yes and no, let me clarify that. Although the post-Walt features were among the untouchables, this is a different standard from that of the features which Walt personally supervised. The Rescuers (1977) was Disney’s most financially successful post-Walt film even out grossing Star Wars in European territories. The Rescuers saw three theatrical releases making $71 million and came out on video in 1992. Now, fast forward to 1994, I will admit that The Fox and the Hound (1981) did make more money than Rescuers when it was in theaters, but Fox/Hound was only released two times, making $63 million by default.
The Aristocats only made $55 million.
I've owned the Disney hotshots Toy story 2 PC game for a decade now.
