this series made me go buy the game, five hours in and I finally managed to get them to stop pooping all over the place. Turns out priorities make a big difference
Thanks for this upload! For as long as I've had the game, I've never progressed to using the power transformers because I couldn't understand them. Seeing you implement them organically in the middle of your letsplay really helped me learn how to use them.
I’ve just started playing this game properly after giving up when I tried to play before. You’ve given me a new interest in sticking with it, thank you!
I am loving this series, I'm watching so that I can learn to have better base design on my next new start. (I am waiting to visit the last 4 planets on my current save before restarting). I always find I start off well but my base ends up spiderwebbing out and becoming a real mess, interested to see how you avoid that.
8:00 why not use standing lamps? Loving this series, I'm learning so much. Felt like I was getting as far as I could on my own so it's great to see how experienced players work.
Hi Nathan, I love your tutorials they are incredibly helpful so thank you so much for your time and patience making them! I have a special request for you since I know you are currently playing ONI, have you ever considered doing a small series just on the 'buildings'? Like explaining exactly how each one works by section? I know it may sound tedious, but I have about 300 hours into the game by now and I still am lost on quite a few mechanics! Especially with the new dlc. It would be helpful to have a compendium of sorts starting from the basics to the higher end stuff...refineries, space research stations etc, like how to set up the buildings in the first place and what exactly they do...Idk, just a thought. I had asked another creator on here awhile back but I don't think they are currently playing anymore so I thought I'd bug you :D thanks so much anyway for your past video's, most are in my save file!
I never thought about it, I once started a tutorial series, but I figured there are so many great tutorials out there already and since I'm not an exclusively ONI channel it will not really be worth it. So I share as much knowledge about the game as comes to mind when doing these LPs.
Omg thanks for this episode lol I kept getting scared and remaking worlds when I got to needing large power systems (I kept making small pockets and just using the conductive wire to get to 2k on them). Obviously that becomes unmanageable at some point so I'd restart. Now I get how to make a better power system
Would you do a all challenge in one run go? Kind of like Grind This Game. Or a Tetris base or a half regular dup and other half SUPER Meep like Brothgar?
@@Nathans-Sandbox i made use of a natural gas geyser once but it just became dormant for many cycles. I got screwed cause all my power was dependent on the geyser.
Well you have to produce oxygen constantly or you will run out. In the oxygen build menu you find all options. In the beginning and oxygen diffuser is usually a good choice if you have access to algea.
Don't get mad. It doesn't mean anything but. Kilo calories is redundant. All calories are kilo calories. Your 450 calorie pizza is actually 450,000 calories. The decision to abbreviate it was made long ago. The more you know😜😉

Hehe it is fun to dive into the game like this and gradually grasp the complexity of it!;)
@@Nathans-Sandbox I remember my first game I accidentally added germy clean water into my water storage 🤣
It happens to everyone;)
I have this game since early release but was too overwhelming to get any far just keep playing and restarting

That's great to hear! They can have their uses;)
I'm waiting for every episode! well done, Nathan! looove it!
Thank you so much!

Don't give up, it's very rewarding!
@@Nathans-Sandbox I’m at cycle 20 and am now getting to grips with more advanced plumbing and ventilation! It’s super fun! :)
I really enjoy this new series of ONI!
😁
I haven't played in over a year but yiur vids have given me the biggest urge to play again. Gonna start after work!
Thanks for the Daily Lunchtime ONI fix!
My pleasure! Might bot be able to keep up gor tomorrow though;)

I had to start over many times before I was content with my mid game;) But you have a fun journey ahead of you, I hope you'll enjoy it;)
Daily episodes are so satisfying
Hope I can keep it up!
i learn so much from your play throughs
That's great, absolutely makes the videos worthwhile;)

Standing lamps would be good for a bristle farm yes.
really like the naration!
Thank you;)

how about for a ultimate base you keep most of your base lit up? would be so cool! :D altough i imagine it would be quite challenging
I can try that with the final base, will not do it for the starter base though.
@@Nathans-Sandbox yes of course no sane person would ever light up their entire base this early into their game :D
👍😉
Loving the series! Learning so much and the commentary is great fun. How did you get a stable source of coal though? For three generators?! Madness.
"😱" 3:02 🤣
🥹
wow you are good at the game hope i will be like you at this(:
Never give up, it's worth it!;)
20:12 When a circuit is supplied by a transformer, it cannot be overloaded, the worst that can happen is brownouts.
Yeah overload was the wrong word.
thank you
:)
Great video!
👍

Yeah we could consider that.
Upload more and faster please! Also please do renewable energy (not solar panels) I wana see what are the possibilities
Technically, all energy in ONI is renewable.
@@Nathans-Sandbox i made use of a natural gas geyser once but it just became dormant for many cycles. I got screwed cause all my power was dependent on the geyser.
Yeah you have to calculate exscactly how many generators you can run off natural gas. It is more of a supplement than a main power source.
did i miss something? that polluted water tank is also the intake of extra germy polluted water from the toilet..
Yes we're gonna clean that in a purification system later.
@@Nathans-Sandbox thanks, already seen the next part where you mention to clean the germy water. 😂
He should have used three smart batteries and 2 and gates, because with his current setup, he will never use all the batteries
This game is somehow more complicated than DST (Dont Starve Together)
I agree;)
Hello Nathan.
What is the mod you use, that alters building colors based on the material used to build it.
Thank you.
Always love the content !!
I think Material Colours, but it's listed in the description if you wanna make sure.
@@Nathans-Sandbox I think you've actually neglected to list it in the description
Wooos, I'll fix that when I get home if I remember.
Where does the oxigen in the base come from? shouldn't it run out?
Well you have to produce oxygen constantly or you will run out. In the oxygen build menu you find all options. In the beginning and oxygen diffuser is usually a good choice if you have access to algea.
Does anyone know why would you add a bad battery to the coal generators?
The "bad" batteries have 4x the capacity. Not sure why you think they are so bad.;)
Anybody know what mods are being used?
What the name of the mode the u are using ?
They are in the description;)
👍👍👍😍
