Framing the class/caste war of Rwanda 30 years ago as "genocide" was always ridiculous, it'as framing the Jacobin or Bolshevik "terror" as such. It's just a pretext to protect a privileged statement (the landowner Tutsis) from the legitimate anger of the working class (the Hutus).

It is sad that these soldiers can’t even be commemorated by their own families, I also blame our leaders in DRC, they should have a professional media department, the war now is won by whoever controls the narrative, I was born in Goma and fled the war of Laurent Nkunda to the USA.
