The awesome thing is Dan is a legendary bluegrass singer, he was George Clooneys singing voice in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (Dan's wife loved it, telling him: "George Clooneys face with your voice coming out? That's my fantasy!") By Avicii and Dan collaborating they each turned a bit of their audience on to the other :)
they were not only "his" the other "faces" collaborated with Tim to make the amazing vocals and rhythm. RIP brother

Dan Tyminski is an amazing Bluegrass/Americana singer and player. Sings w/ Allison Krauss & Union Station. Far from an amateur. Avicii knew what he was doing using him.

When they first released this song and I realized it was Dan Tyminski on vocals, I straight up did a double take. I never expected a bluegrass legend to show up in popular electronic music.
avicii used to say that if your song can't be played acoustically then it wasn't a good song. He used to surround himself with the best singers (voices, talent and no name) to make his songs 🖤

Dan Tyminski, the vocalist, is a Bluegrass artist who's mainly worked with Alison Krauss. He's also the singing voice to George Clooney's character in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000).
He's a dad in real life, which explains his "dad" look. He's a country boy where it's about the art of the music sound and not how you look!

A Swedish DJ wrote a great bluegrass song. That's how much of a genius Avicii was.
Besides "Hey Brother", Dan Tyminski is best known in the U. S. for two things: Being the singing voice of George Clooney on "Man of Constant Sorrow" in the Coen Bros. movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou", and as a member of Alison Krauss and Union Station for over 20 years (lead and backing vocals; guitar and mandolin). Multiple Grammy winner, and one of the best bluegrass musicians working today.

The first I knew of this is when I saw Alison Krauss and Union Station in concert in May of 2014 (they opened for Willie Nelson), and Alison mentioned his performance on that recording when she introduced him. He later did a very short version of it in a medley near the end of the concert.

Gunner Storm He was struggling with his mental health from the beginning. It wasn’t a product of his career, he already had issues since his teenage. His family has been open about it. Although he developed quite a few health problems during his time in the industry, I believe he could’ve survived them. Plus, I don’t think you understand the concept of depression. You don’t just grow out of it. It is very ignorant of you if you believe that. And NOBODY’S blaming Tim. We all know he was pushed past his limits and he probably would’ve stayed longer if it wasn’t for his management. But with the level of mental torment he was going through, I don’t think he would’ve hung around very long. If he took such a drastic measure, I would say he had already thought quite a lot about it, it wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. He was very observant and thoughtful. And if you listen to all of his music, right from the start, you’d definitely understand that he wasn’t well. All of his music is a plea of help, and speaks of his troubles. I’m just blown away by how we didn’t realise this from the very start. It all unraveled in front of our eyes, in front o& millions o& people and we couldn’t do anything.
Oskar Hulten don’t blame his manager. He organised all of his tributes and payed for them himself. All the money from the tributes went straight to Tim’s family. :’)
Finally we can see the faces behind those great voices that accompanied Avicii in his songs. I'm not a total fan of the electronic genre, but I do like several songs, and what Avicii did was very innovative in my humble opinion, because he expanded the genre by mixing it with classic styles like bluegrass or folk among others.

I love the fact that I don’t see a lot of people on there phone recording the show but instead enjoying the show I love that 🥰♥︎
No offence, but people can still be recording the show and enjoy it. It's a moment they want to remember, so of course they would record it. I see so many comments saying "so many people on their phones it's disgusting blah blah blah" but why wouldn't they record it? They paid to see something they enjoy, and they enjoy it enough to record it.
Maccamizer yeah, but sometimes people focus so much on their recording that they can’t really just soak it in. I like recording short clips every now and then, but keeping my phone away for most of the show.

This song reminds me of a really good friend I had when I was a kid, we pretty much lived together, there was nothing we weren't willing to do for each other, sadly he passed away when I was 14, it hurt like a kick in the balls, I haven't stopped thinking about him ever since he passed away.

Avicii songs were my childhood. I remember listening to his songs in the car when we went on holidays, the windows opened with the wind and the sun, singing along (I learnt English thanks to songs), listening to them on repeat, dancing. Anyway I miss those days and above all I miss Tim. I'm gonna make my children listen to these songs like my dad made me listen to the Beatles and other artists from his childhood.
