Does it matter at what height you set the magnet and sensor on the wheel. If its too high or low wont that change the reading even if you have the circumference set?
I have the same question. I would think magnet-sensor placement would be critical to ensure a correct correlation between actual speed and tire diameter. Is there a prescribed distance for the sensor in relation to the axle?
No it won't change the reading. You can put it as far up or down the fork as you want, as the spot on the spokes nearer to the axle will pass the fork at the same time they do near the tire. Nearer to the axle will travel less distance, but still pass the sensor at the same time. The size of your wheel is the only critical part to set up in the computer.
