It's not just the room Lisbon's asking Jane to let her in it's his life that she feels being excluded from her whole mood lifted when he let her in. She absolutely hated being shut out by him, it devastated her and the hurt she felt was evident . However what she didn't understand was he didn't do it to hurt her, he did it because he was trying to protect her.
The only thing I hate about this scene is how close the camera is to them I would have loved to see him actually grab her hand or arm when he pulls her into the room .
Lisbon: "Are we partners or what?" Jane's oath of allegiance (unconditional submission, for good or for worse) is triggered. Jane: "Come here, partner!"
The way he addressed her as Partner was way too cute ; of course one can easily sense the romantic sparks between them … It was obvious from the start and gradually they confessed their feelings which led to a happy future for both of them …..
They really should have become lovers way earlier... the way she is standing against the door and her eyes, those visual cues are telling a story and the soft come here partner with the hand grab is just amazing... I would definitely sneak a smooch into the plot the moment she comes in the room.
Yeah I would love we saw sparks flying between them much much earlier, I wouldn't like to see them dating that early in the show because he wasn't done with his past and RJ so he can start planning future until that is done, but they could put more lingering looks, almost kisses,or 🤔for example they are going undercover as a couple and had to kiss,but after that they behaved weird because one of them felt something or both of them ,and then would be nice to see Janes internal fight with his self because he developed feelings for Lisbon, seeing trying to pretend he doesn't feel anything ,or simply seeng them jealous, correction I saw Lisbon jealous multiple times but not him that much, I think there was a lot of ways they could've go with their characters and not putting them together as a couple right away, simply just enough to tease us,shame they didn't explore that more because those two had great chemistry.

It succeeded there because (the show being focused on their love-story), but I don't think it would have worked in the darker, revenge-oriented Mentalist show. But, who knows?!?
@@cspresimir you are right, I watched to much Bones and Castle but long time ago, I was more thinking on Bones when I wrote this, but yeah I watched Castle also and as you said they were more focused on romance,good show I personally enjoyed it but it was light,without much drama, except when Kate was shot during the whole plot with her mother murder. You are right about everything you said, maybe wouldn't work with this show,I was more thinking that could be that they had feelings one for another but it was never right time to be together and something would always come between them until the last season etc. and I just didn't like because it looked more one sided like Lisbon feelings for him, maybe because at that point in the show writer Bruno didn't have intentions puting Jane and Lisbon together at all,and when it comes to his character I loved they were focused on his personal revenge, darkness and fear he carried inside, he was complex and great character to watch but I actually "didn't understand " whole thing with his character being attracted to Erica and Lorelei,well but that might be because I was always rooting for Lisbon to be the one and she was and I hated they started to showing that only in second half of season 6,only then you could see he feels something.

And since we referred Castle, there's a nice Martha-ism there: "The question is this...when you come right down to it, would you be willing to break her out of prison? Because that, my boy, is true love." And we all know who Jane was willing to break out of prison, do we? :) For selfish RJ-hunting reasons, he said ... yeah, maybe ... but the one who broke out of prison wasn't Lisbon, it was Lorelei. Unpopular opinion, I know. But that's one of the reasons why this show is great. :)

Jane talking about how he excluded Lisbon from the list cause they were friends and how he excluded women from the list just makes me think about how freaking insane it would have been to have Lisbon be red john. Now, don't get me wrong, the story between Lisbon and Jane is something that is truly beautiful. A man broken down by the pure evil of a person who murdered the only things in his life that ever brought him true happiness. He has a break down and a year later goes to the CBI seeking answers on what happened with the investigation leading to his families murderer, but still just as broken as the first day he discovered what happened. But he meets Lisbon, probably the first person (minus his psychiatrist at the mental hospital I believe) that actually didn't take pity on him, but wanted to genuinely help him. Lisbon helped to teach Jane how to be a person again really. She even helped him use his time to do more than just obsess over red john, she helped him make a difference in the world by helping on their cases, in turn making Jane probably feel better about himself after all of the damage he caused in his life before as a physcic. Then, their bond just kept growing closer and closer, Lisbon needing Jane and Jane needing Lisbon. Not so much for the work they did anymore but mainly because it was obvious their bond made each other happier people. And eventually they fell in love. And Jane finally had a family again. Lisbon and the baby never replaced his last wife and child but they helped him become happy again. Jane was someone who was obviously born to be a husband and a father. It was sort of his passion until it was ripped away from him, that's only when he realised it. Lisbon helped him regain his passion and love and it's impossibly beautiful to witness to be honest. But just imagine the story line if Lisbon turned out to be Red John all along. What kind of mind trickery that would have been. Lisbon being red john would have made the show so much more depressing than it was though so I'm glad they had the happy ending. But man, imagine the shock and surprise Jane would have to endure knowing his best friend, partner and someone he was falling in love with was the person who killed his family and he had no idea at all.
"Come here partner" and he takes her hand... I love this couple.

Even without that “romantic factor” it was so cute to see how Jane called him his partner n pulled her inside. They always had such a cute bond.

He did rule them out. Because the whole criteria was someone he shook hands with but wasn’t friends with. Jane considers Cho and Rigsby his friends
He probably knew of their location at the time Red John did some murdering so he must have excluded them by alibi
