Scotland wasn’t conquered. They joined in a union. Scotland is the one with enough money for free University tuition. We can’t afford it in England. So this poor Scotland attitude is not really correct, when they have somethings better than in England and Wales.
Yes and we would like to leave the union. It was a forced marriage and it has been detrimental to Scotland for over 300 years now. Not because we hate the English but we do not want to be governed by a government we do not vote for. We want democracy and we want to make our own decisions and spend our own money in the way we choose not what an English dominated Westminster decides.
King George Fine. The same arguments were said by the Brexit crowd. But when they said that they got called every name under the Sun. If Scotland didn’t split the vote and voted Labour then it would reduce the Tory gap. Then there would be polices that Scotland would like. Anyway. Hope Scotland does what’s best for you in the long run.
Oh goodness gracious me if only Scotland voted Labour you say - its Scotlands fault is it that England keeps voting for the Tories. What utter nonsense.
King George No. I didn’t say that did I. I said it would narrow the gap in the Tory lead, and the vote was being split. Don’t reinterpret things in to blame and fault. It’s just a matter of fact. If the argument is that Scotland gets governments that it doesn’t want, then it’s the result of the whole U.K. *The only language of blame is from the Scottish nationalists towards the English* who’s to say what happens with independence. To have the things you want it may mean high taxation like Norway, or you don’t have them with Lower taxes. Just like Brexit. The reality is not the same as what’s sold in the name of nationalism. But you should be free to decide. Have another independence vote.
SNP have destroyed Scotland, but hypocrites like Cos don't care because...."freeeeeeeeeedom" Also, no mention of the fact that if Scotland did go independent a few year ago they'd very soon have gone bankrupt.

Apart from he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, knows nothing about his country’s own history, has a large chip on his shoulder and hasn’t quite managed to grasp the political climate in the UK, narrow minded and deluded.
@Lost and Dearly Departed It does indeed, everybody becomes poor so everyone is the same.
So well explained Brian Cox ! 👍 and so sad in the situation we are now in !
It's the way of poverty - Brian Cox.
Wow, I love this guy 😍
Maher did not like when Cox called Netanyhuh of Israel a lier. Interesting I thought. Maher wanted to change the message right away.
Bill is what's called a PEOP Progressive Except On Palestine
I noticed that too. I have to admit I agree with maher on that one.
Well said Mr Cox! Love Scotland, grew up there not far from Dundee. Very proud to hear you speak about it. Been here 40 years and people still stare at me when I speak lol.
“Trump wouldn’t understand anything about geography.” Neither would his voters. They also don’t understand science, math, or history.
And that's just part of the problem.....

Some of MY All time FAV "Brian Cox" movies...

JUST to name a few! GREAT and AWESOME Actor! I LOVE that he classifies himself as a "Mic/Mac" being a "Scots/Irish"!
Don't forget the first two Bourne movies.
Super Troopers
I love, absolutley love celebrities who share real things. Brian cox i have to watch all of your catalogue again. The bourne series. Troy. Etc. Im so proud of you.
I JUST watched a documentary he narrated. Besides a great actor, such a cool voice lol.. The doc was "Queen Elizabeth's magician-John Dee" if anyones interested ;)
Much respect to Uncle Argyle. Such a legend.
Oh Bill, I hope you were joking when you said the Irish were speaking Irish/Gaelige until 1850, Please do your research before saying such things.. "Ireland were invaded by the English many hundreds of years on/off before this and speaking Irish was discouraged from 1500s/1600s. A small proportion of the western Ireland speak it fluently these days and we all learn it in school from age 4 so we generally understand a lot of it.." Irish Woman (Bean as Éirinn) circa 2020. ;-)
@Margaret Gust Yes and it was factually incorrect.
@@FreshlySqueezed77 Irish was not marginal to Ireland's modernisation in the 19th century, as often assumed. In the first half of the century there were still around three million people for whom Irish was the primary language, and their numbers alone made them a cultural and social force. Irish speakers often insisted on using the language in law courts (even when they knew English), and Irish was also common in commercial transactions. The language was heavily implicated in the "devotional revolution" which marked the standardisation of Catholic religious practice and was also widely used in a political context. Down to the time of the Great Famine and even afterwards, the language was in use by all classes, Irish being an urban as well as a rural language.[17] Facts are a strange commodity!
Love you Brian Cox. Yankees, pay attention. Vote Bernie 2020, the change we need.
The way it should have gone:
"That Brian Cox is hot."
"Back off Bee-atch. He's mine."
I have always loved this man’s delivery. First saw him in The Ring and then heard him in the game Manhunt.
Corbin wouldn’t take a position on Brexit, so it’s not exactly the same situation in the US.
The Labour Party was torn over Brexit but Corbyn personally had the worst approval ratings of any party leader in history.
That's not going to help.
@@maxdecimus13 Propaganda helped there.
@@jeremiemarion3966 not really, he started bad and went low from there. He represented a deeply unpopular group when he was elected
@@maxdecimus13 Yes and no when May triggered the election they actually got more seats than expected. Problem was after Corbyn should have said the people voted we enact what people voted that's democracy and every Labour member against that is out. But watching british media the amount of propaganda against Corbyn was massive and the bias so obvious that almost put MSM in the US to shame not gonna lie.
@@maxdecimus13 Yes really lol there are multiple studies demonstrating this it's just a fact that he got savaged by the press
If Brian Cox writes a book, I will buy it! And the audiobook also. 😛
Bill has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.
Thanks Bill for having Brian Cox on your show !
Love you Bill and Brian!😍 I respect your work because you both choose to use your platforms 🤩 to entertain, educate, and engage with others. Thanks for doing so.👏🏽
Just getting into his stride and the clip ends. Loved his narration on the documentary "The revelation of the pyramids". He always brings a passion and intensity to his work.
He sounds kinda like Sean Connery
I mean Brian Cox, not Bill
Scots truly punch above their weight. Great people.
Really good actor... didn’t know he was **Scottish😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Very much so.Scottish, east coast, just like Sean Connery.
Let the man speak.
The first, and best Hannibal Lecter right there.
as some one from northern England (Cumbria) as i can say is well said Mr Cox
VOTE Blue for real leadership we can be proud of again!!
Yeah. Bernie 2020
Brian is a great ambassador for our movement!!
Brian is our national treasure, one of the U.K’s finest actors ever, and is indeed hot. 🥰Scotland couldn’t be prouder of him.
Like Brian, my whole family are Scots of Irish Catholic descent and we love it when one of our own scales the heights in any area of life.
Bill, I don’t think your viewers understand what a hard, hard road a young man from Brian’s background had to tread to find success. His achievements on stage and in film are all the greater, but talent will out. Oh, and btw Bill, more of us speak like Brian, than not.
Love the show, big time. 💫🌟🏴

I'm so happy people are fans of his too. I had a week where It's seemed he was in everything I happend to watch. All in the same week by completely chance. He was in the VG Manhunt I was playing. Then I went to the movies and he was the bad guy in xmen 2. Then later in that week I heard about a Manhunter movie and he showed up as the original Lector. Blew me away. I just kept seeing him all the sudden. It's one of those strange things in life. The universe wanted me to learn about this guys work.
GREAT GREAT ACTOR!! He's real. Maybe that grace could rube off on the rest...
Why is listening to a conversation between grownups(intellectuals) so rare these days.. most of the stuff I come across cable is pure lunacy..

The heat between Brian & Helen Mirren was Amazing!!💕

More like shocked at the bravery of a man telling the truth
Too bad
Among the many great roles Brian Cox has played, I recommend all of you to look up the 1990 film "Hidden Agenda" (based on the real-life John Stalker investigation).
Brian Cox was the only positive on this show. That means he probably won't be invited back
Netflix is the next destination for Bill. They could provide him with a lot of staging and slick production, lights, and graphics.
I always thought Brian Cox' version of Hannibal Lecter was severely underrated. Maybe it's just me.
Bones Jones He was so good in Manhunter. I loooooove that movie
@@kchrules775 yes, it's a quintessential 80's thriller. one of my favorite. he's an underrated actor in general. succession is awesome too.

Pauline Chapman “Manhunter” from 1986 is the first adaption of Red Dragon. Silence of the Lambs was the sequel and Anthony Hopkins was in that movie, the sequel, and the Red Dragon remake in 2005

But, there are those who are equating anti Netanyahu with antisemitism. And they threaten people who disagree with the state of Israel in their approach to the Palestinians. I was even told I was too stupid to understand what's going on.
"Really?", I had replied. True, I had taken only 2 classes decades ago-History of the Middle East, and History of South Africa, and the separation processes being used in Israel today seem eerily similar to the methods used in South Africa decades ago.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Brian Cox: against Brexit
also Brian Cox: wants Scotland to be independent.
Hypocrisy from a scottish nationalist? Ha, it's what they do best....apart from whining that is.
One is not like the other.
@Poor Things Poor things, have you a head injury or something? Wanting Scotland to be independent from being "ruled" by London.....then wanting to join the EU where they will be subject to EU law and effectively ruled by Brussels is the height of hypocrisy. Do you need me to draw you a diagram or do you understand the point now?
@Poor Things So you see no hypocrisy in the SNP foaming at the mouth and screaming about "independence", all the while knowing that they will have to hand over umpteen powers to Brussels and also lose their biggest trading partner...the rest of the UK. Also, if Scotland had gone independent few years ago, they'd currently be bankrupt...but thats a small price to pay for "freeeeeedom", huh?
@Poor Things Part of me would actually like to see Scotland go independent just to see the people tearing the SNP apart because they were sold a lie "the oil revenue will pay for everything"....mmm yes quite...
Also, you pay more into the UK than you gt back? False. Last year the UK had to give Scotland an extra £700 million because of the shortfall between whats raised there and what it actually costs to run the place.

Nonsense on stilts from both of you.
@@kinggeorge3745 Where is your evidence then that England conquered Scotland? It's ok I can wait......typical loud mouth haggis.
"The Irish didn't speak English in 1850." No, Bill. The vast majority did.
Brian Cox is a great actor. In Manhunter, I could totally believe he was Hannibal Lector... But I can't believe he's a socialist. :(
I have to agree with Brian Cox here and I say this as a Labour Party voter. Corbyn had great policies, but it’s how you sell them is what matters.
King George
No.
*The only language of blame is from the Scottish nationalists towards the English*
who’s to say what happens with independence. To have the things you want it may mean high taxation like Norway, or you don’t have them with Lower taxes.
Just like Brexit. The reality is not the same as what’s sold in the name of nationalism. But you should be free to decide. Have another independence vote.
Norway has a trillion pounds sovereign savings fund from its oil resources and is regularly voted as the happiest country in the world.
Well said Brian Cox with you all the way God Bless Scotland a sleeping Giant
Your SNP should instead improve Scotland than a terrible separatist insurrection
SNP have destroyed Scotland, but hypocrites like Cos don't care because...."freeeeeeeeeedom" Also, no mention of the fact that if Scotland did go independent a few year ago they'd very soon have gone bankrupt.
Well it would be nice if we could have control of our own revenues to spend. Insurrection - 😂😂😂😂😂 we want democracy in Scotland.
Dredd1981 - total nonsense.
So that article in the Scotsman is nonsense huh?
Awww what’s wrong? The facts too upsetting for you?
Go have a lie down in your safe space and have a cry
And I’m sure those nasty facts will go away 🤣
And yes, Scotland would be bankrupt now if it had gone for independence. But by all means do continue to think otherwise, whatever helps you sleep at night 👍
