- A playthrough of Konami's 1998 PlayStation sports game based on the Nagano-hosted Winter Olympic games, Nagano Winter Olympics '98.
Played through on the default difficulty setting. This is probably my all-time favorite winter sports games (with Winter Gold probably being a distant second...), with an awesome change-up in game variety from the Track & Field series. Just be warned, this will destroy the pads on your thumbs, and a controller if you use a pencil to rock between the buttons to hit them fast enough :)

My grandmother had this as well as International Track and Field. It’s where I developed my trigger finger as a kid.

The cold-weather version of Track & Field does a pretty excellent job of differentiating itself from the other Olympic-style games with a bigger variety of events that occasionally veer from smashing the buttons until your thumb turns into a bloody stump.
Awesome game, spent hours and hours with my brother with this game!

I forgot how outrageous those input combinations were.
I remember being frustrated with this game but man...after 16 years this sound when it came out it was like a yesterday.

this game menu theme suddenly played in my head 20+ years later, now here i am revisiting. I used to love this game alot even though i have no idea how to play nor read english at that time lol. This game looks so real at that time, but im surprised it doesn't look as bad now.
Oh the memories, I was 7 when this came out and played it like a maniac. Now, at 30, I cant understand why🤣 Simpler times I guess, wish I was 7 again and thought ps1 was the best! Sitting on the floor close to the 28" fat tv and thought it was the best! Nowadays we complain at ps4 graphics at a 75" 4k tv... 🤣 this game and ski or die for nes brings back great memories, thanks för the upload👌
Used to play the hell out of this. My hands would hurt from doing the speed skating because if I remember correctly you had to continuously tap square than circle over and over as fast as possible.

Man, the snowboarding part has such inappropriate music that I actually chuckled. Especially since most of the other events don't have music.
Creator of Silent Hill would never make a Silent Hill if he would have accepted proposal to make this game. But thankfully, his senior chose to work on this, so Toyama led the Silent Hill instead.

Ice hockey was made into a separate game
@flipcamgamer and it was essentially a copy and paste of Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey. At least there was Actua Ice Hockey 1 as well.

I grew up playing Konami sports games, so they hold a special place in my heart... But in retrospect... MAN, these games were UGLY. I mean, I know it's (now) primitive tech, but even for the first event, why are most of the gates sitting sideways? lol the things we overlooked back in the day because "It's in 3D!!!"
