I went to a local church.
The first time I had a weird feeling, but went again because it is so close, I can walk there.
Both times, the energy was like a nightclub.
Neon lights.
No daylight.
Black interior.
Huge TV screens with the words on.
Singing in a way that was emotionally stirring but in a agitated way.
Then a small antidote with gossip, by the leader.
Then a testimony about money (both times) then the Tithe.
Then everyone leaves.
The second time I saw people taking something out of a basket at the back.
It was tiny vials of wine.
This was the supposed to be the blood of our Saviour.
In a basket at the back, on the way out?
The whole experience was weird.
Absolutely no fellowship.
We arrived and left with barely a word to anyone.
Streams of cars coming and then going.
There is nowhere to sit and associate.
The huge emphasis on Tithe and how we had BETTER do so, or we won't see the benefits, worse, we will suffer financially, was ugly.
I luckily found another local church and it was a beautiful fellowship.
God showed me the dark and then took me to the light.
GO TO AN ORTHODOX CHURCH AND ALTHOUGH ITS STRANGE YOU WILL FEEL AT HOME. GIVE IT TIME. THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH THE INSCENSE AND THE HOLY CHANTS!!!!!!😇 THERE ARE OCA CHURCHES NOW AND MANY ARE DOING THE LITURGY IN ENGLISH
The whole church is giving “a wolf is sheep’s clothing”.
It's true if you tell the church about your challenges they gossip and judging instead of sympathize with you and comfort you with prayers to overcome the devil.

I do not forget the scripture that many wolves come in sheep’s clothing and I ask the Lord to deliver me from their attempt to grasp and direct me to a new place to worship him in his house. But also, some of the best times I have had was when it was just me and him alone.
Especially jealous in spiritual gifts is a common thing in churches.

I went to a church one time and the pastor told me I have family affiliation but he will not pray for me because I am just going there for him and to pray for me and disappear again and from that day I did not go there anymore because he was forcing me to attend his church

I attended a church recently that my relative attends, as her guest. It’s not my own usual church so I didn’t know anyone besides my relative or what to expect. I arrived sooner than my relative and realized only one person came to greet me. There was probably 30 people in that front area….Only one teenager smiled sweetly and said hi, but everyone else was in their friend group and didn’t have time to welcome a newcomer, obviously. I’ve been saved for decades so I didn’t necessarily need that, but they didn’t know that. After standing awkwardly in the foyer I went back to my car to get something and on my way back there were two couples talking in the parking lot. They were plenty old enough to know better. They were obviously leaving from the first service (I was there for the second) and I heard one woman, about 50 years old say out loud “We laughed so hard; right after service (she said another woman’s name) came to me and said during WORSHIP service I couldn’t help looking over at you and all I could think of was how in the world does she keep herself so thin?” Then all four of them, the two women and their husbands laughed like banshees, and I felt such a grieving in my heart that they saw nothing wrong with that especially when they should have been worshipping God when that supposedly occurred. If they’d been teenagers I’d have cut them some slack, even though they’d need to be taught better, but this is sadly the condition of most churches today. When the adults are still acting like children and have absolutely no spiritual depth, something is wrong in that church. Most of the church was middle age or older, with a few younger couples and teens and yet you could not have told them from unbelievers by being around them. Let’s face it, church has become a social club in too many cases. A box to check off in their weekly routine. I believe in the church but many are not anywhere near what God intended.
This is very sad. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. Imagine what it would have been like if you weren't grounded in the faith. I mean an experience like that can certainly shake the faith of someone new.
But well for handling it so maturely.

You overheard them when not inside the church, I hear them talking and gossiping, hating and looking down on not so well to do believers. Sad state of the churches these days. The weeds are increasing by day and I m sure Gos isn't pleased!

Ive been to a couple of seventh day adventist churches and wow ,could i feel a deep heavy evil spirit. I couldnt get out of there quicker. I am so happy now in my christian life with jesus my saviour. From young Robert.
I went to an SDA church a few times, I thought it just felt so dead. No real life in it. They believe in soul sleep which is so false. "To be absent from the body is to be present from the Lord."

When you have a woman pastor then you are opening yourself to doctrine of devils. You have denied the teaching of God's Word. The little books in the New Testament are not unimportant.
(Paul) Tim will teach you. When it says "Let not a woman have authority" SEVERAL times, "a woman should be silent in church" does not mean she should be preaching over you, praying over you..... Read it for yourself and NEVER let anyone wash those words away. God has not changed with the times. Anyone who tells you otherwise is in dire trouble.
One thing I’ve learned is pastors will almost always say that anyone who leaves the church (even if it’s because you noticed something off and couldn’t stay anymore) you WILL be labeled a backslider. Not that we should care as long as we know God told us to leave, but I’ve seen it happen
too many times. That takes all the pressure off of pastors that turn all the blame on the one that leaves even if there’s a valid reason that the pastor just will not deal with, and might even be causing himself, (or as in your case…herself!!)

I don’t know about you but I’m so glad that I saw this video. This explains why these churches are so cold and jst dead. No wonder the devil goes to church. He is making sure that he can clear out the churches and make sure that no one goes. The devil knows the truth of God’s word and that is why he fights you all the time. some leaders also need deliverance at some times but usually they deny that & don't resign when should coz have too much money...
There is no such thing as deliverance.
If you are serving God you must live a life of repentance. That will keep you from the attacks of devils. Satan can not abide company with other believers who are living right. Those who are living in sin are not believers anyway. You cannot take the cup of Christ and the cup of devils. It is not possible to do 2 opposite things. Your worship is not honored by God if you are living in sin. Period.
