So the top finisher covered 1050 kilometers in 24 hours. To put in perspective that's an average of 43.5 km/h or 26.5 mph. That's pretty spectacular for a human powered vehicle. It would be nice if you would include more details in the description for those of us who might be interested in the application and execution of such an event.
And on a track with turns and lots of area where you need to break and accelerate, on a straight track (or oval track) where you could get a constant speed, I guess the distance in 24h would be even higher.
In a close future, this will be traffic rush in the morning. Cars are going to become so expensive that regular peoples will buy those little pedalrockets with electric engines to go to work.
This was interesting, different, never seen it before-- *_BUT_* the music totally drowned out the sounds of the race. IMO it was just a distraction. Why does every video have to have annoying music in the background?

@@PaulJakma *These cyclists are hiding motors inside the frame. Think first , write later. Yes, the hudges have technologie to find motors you dumbo! They scan the bikes and use tools that measure electromagnetism. Thats how they found the motor inside a womens bike a few years ago. They dont have engines.

Is it just one rider the whole race?

Whats the top speed
@@Eduardo_Espinoza Mate do you really think 1 guy could do that? Be at least 3 in each car I'd say may be more!
Yes would be nice to know those things!
Looks like improved Aerodynamic designs.
Big crowds too. Way to go to the organizers, volunteers, participants for a really good event.
Really enjoyable pedal prix race, thanks for sharing wonderful video congratulations 👍
No wae i didn’t think that a mustang would be a safety car XD
*Not when it’s coming fast through the crowd of cyclists.*
Y'all just changed my mind about pedal power.
Great stuff...remarkable speeds and control for tri wheel base. Guess they don't have to shave their legs.!!
No lie, wasn't expecting very much but that was excellent! Great job to everyone involved.
I‘m hooked. Much more interesting than formula 1, and entry costs are much much lower.. the true spirit of racing..
a car costs 10k minimum
Fantastic racing. Wish we could see more of it.
Very cool. I went to Australia 6 years ago and saw some sprintcar races at Murry Bridge...these work too.
Looks fun and safe.
I was waiting for a pit stop and driver swap
I was curious how many cyclists each team had.
@@entropybentwhistle we had 6 riders for the 24 hours but most teams have around 8-10
Nice video! Getting keen for the new season ahead
Pretty cool stuff 🙌
This is an awsome sport! Ill have to look out for a championship to follow!
The Australian HPV champs is about half way through this year
Best one yet
This is so awesome, first time I see this 😅
This is awesome!
This looks fun as hell!

Well, yeah. You’ve pretty much described my commuter vehicle.
Looks like so much fun.

What happened Mr Drifter?!
Edit drip certified 🧡
Tried to get plenty of orange in there
That race wow . It's bowt.time !
I want one like this but with a steering wheel
Now that is the new racing that should happen cycling 24 hour I think the speeds could had been averaging 40MPh
More skill , more athleticism , cooler than ice machines
Where is the air inlet so the driver can breath?
love this
That was exciting! What did they do when they had to pee? Eat? Drink?
Each car had about 6-10 riders that would change out. So it was only necessary to carry water and a energy gel or 2 in the car
niiiice
also great music
I have a question: does pembroke do pedal prix scholarships? I heard somewhere that they do
No not at all. All self run by a couple of teachers and students. Just a really good program that encourages all ability levels to do it
Brilliant
Did you really have to drown out the motor sounds with music!
No motors at all, all human powered
@@hmcgfilms I know lol
Best would be some narration about who are the racers and who is in which position, etc.
So what was the winning distance?
The open category winners did over 1050km and the winnings schools team did 997km
Us: How cringey do you wanna make this?
Him: Yes
Imagine wout van aert was in one.😂
So is there rider swaps, or is it the same person for the whole 24 hours?
I would think both solo entrants and teams.
@@briansteve5269 not sure if anyone has done it solo but every team swaps riders. Normally 6-8 riders
They don't look very stable, quite a few flipped over
Why do velos on the road not look like them, fully enclosed. Are they not practcal for dailyuse?
They all appear to have the same body style, just different paint jobs.

Thanks for the feedback, I find most people like the music, whatever floats your boat really 👍

It's like Bugsy Malone/Back to the Future 2....
“Trump trikes”! That is buzzard in OZ.
Future F1?
Well if you lost you sure couldn't blame your engine builder...lol
Epic. Kick that ugly old Ford out & get an Aptera for a pace car next time if you can :)
I couldn't get past seeing "trump" so many times.
Lots of passing under yellow flags... :/
Bumper cars.
ACDC can make anything better...
Trump Trikes still hasn't changed its name, I see.
The stupid, inappropriate music RUINED an otherwise great video. Did not need it at all.
